I prefer to buy name brand when dealing with electrical products but could not find a name brand that made a duplex switch with an indicator light. I decided on this one because it is at least UL Listed and has decent reviews. The wiring instructions that came with the product were lacking, even in the realm of electrical items where they are often brief and confusing for non-professionals such as myself. Thankfully I have experience installing switches and so did not need to rely on the instructions. The switch and indicator light worked after installation. I have two complaints, one of which is probably my fault: the indicator light shuts off when the switch controlling my bathroom exhaust fan is toggled. Ideally it would be the bathroom light that shuts off. I suspect I just made a mistake with the wiring and that this won't be an issue for electricians or installers more competent than myself. My second and primary complaint is that the switches are really loud when toggled, which is not ideal at night time or when you're otherwise trying to be quiet. Read more
