The lifechill Trigger Point Massage Tool is beautifully packaged and nicely designed. It makes an impressive gift presentation. The tool arrives in an attractive gift type box with a textured heart design on top. Inside the box you find the tool along with a handy storage bag and cleaning cloth. It includes a small user manual. The manual is well-written, but rather brief. It gives a quick overview of the parts of the tool and their usage and includes a few illustrations. However, a user completely unfamiliar with this type of tool might want to find additional resources that go more in depth. The tool itself has some substance to it. If feels good in my hands, nice and sturdy. The shape works well for numerous applications. A smaller curve hugs my arm for a scraping-style massage. A larger gently curved side works well on my calves, thighs and shoulders. I even found a position that allows me to lightly scrape along my jawline. Doing that while pressing one of the raised points near the jaw joint eases the tension I get from clenching my teeth and TMJ. The triangular shape is easy to grip so I can apply pressure-point to my stiff shoulders. I personally find that the combination of shape and weight of this tool makes it best for working with larger areas like limbs and shoulders. I have also used it for facial gua sha, and it works nicely. However I found I still prefer gua sha tools that are more specified for this use. Perhaps I'm simply more used to them. The rounded tips are excellent for acupressure though. I've used this tool several times to target tense areas in my neck and the base of my skull that were causing headache pain. It's perfect for targeting the exact area of tension, and the shape makes it easy to grip and apply the right amount of pressure. The tool is made from stainless steel. It’s quite smooth and glides along the skin easily. It's also very easy to clean. It has some heft but isn’t too heavy. I like the weight, it’s a comfortable level to work with. The shape and size are perfect for my hands to grip. The hole in the center makes it easier to grasp tightly when needed. One edge of the tool has small teeth. They aren’t too sharp or rough, but they do add a little more to the massaging action. The quality, design, and performance of this tool make it an excellent choice.
