This Life's Fortune, Cardio Health has amazing ingredients and pretty good flavor; with a slight B vitamin taste. I loved this product so much that I've reordered it since ordering the first time. The Value is good for the amount of supplements you get in one, easy to mix, refreshing drink. I enjoy drinking this daily and i've definitely noticed a positive change in my energy level since I've been taking it regularly. This is a Great Product! Read more

I got the Orange flavor, which was nice and tart, with no after-taste. A bit of the powder still remained at the bottom of the glass, so you may need to add a bit more water at the end. I've included a photo of the ingredients. There are a bunch of basic vitamins and minerals that you probably already get in a Multi. The important stuff is the L-Arginine (5 gm) and L-Citruline. We don't know exactly how much of the latter is there, because it's part of their "Proprietary Blend"... but it's clearly less than 1gm. The product is on the expensive side -- more than $1/serving. If you're going to add Arginine and Citruline to your protein shake there are cheaper ways to do it. BUT! This is certainly a convenient and good-tasting way to add those supplements to your diet. The Life's Fortune Trail Pack Powder is supposed to be for hiking, but I use it for treadmill workouts. I do about 15 miles a week and look for distance rather than speed. I always have to drink to get ready and drink during a 5 mile power walk so mixing this in my cup is no problem as it dissolves quickly. I would give more stars but this is just too expensive to use several times a week, best saved for the outdoors. I truly feel it has had a positive effect on endurance and recovery. Nice mix, good effects, just too pricey for me. Read more

These are pretty tasty. They taste like a more refreshing and less chalky version of Sunny D. It's a nice refreshing beverage and according to the package it's packed full of vitamins. They arrived as loose packets in a mailer which I thought was strange but I'm willing to overlook that. A box or bag for them would have been nice though. I know supplements are a bit of hard topic to navigate as far as honesty about what's really in it goes, but I'm inclined to believe that the vitamin content in these is properly disclosed. I had a packet mixed into water after a particularly long study session, about 5 hours. During that time I'd forgotten to eat a proper meal or drink water so I wasn't feeling great at all. I had a snack and some water but still wasn't feeling great after a while, so I tried this. I returned to a shorter study session after with this and sipped on it slowly while completing my work for class. I started to feel worlds better about halfway through the glass, and by the time I'd finished the glass I was feeling kind of energized. This is perfect for any situation where you might not be getting all the vitamins you need in your diet. Long study sessions, too busy at work, and I think it would be useful while camping and hiking too. I've used a couple of these packets so far and I liked the effect so much that I plan to take a couple with me on a camping trip this weekend too. It's a shame the vitamin content means that the recommended dose, one per day, should be strictly followed since they really just taste so good. Despite that, I recommend giving this one a try if you can. Read more

Short Version: While I trust Life's Fortune due to their track record, there's not much transparency in terms of Good Manufacturing Practices, lab testing, or even what makes them "award winning". This Cardio Health drink seems to be thoughtfully formulated, but I wish they'd left out the sorbitol. The powder has a vitamin-y scent and that taste can't be completely covered up with the sweeteners. Personally, I slightly preferred the Lemon-Lime flavor. Way Longer Version: Transparency: Life’s Fortune claims to be an "award winning"* industry leader of 25 years. The brand is said to be the brainchild of "veterans of the health and nutrition world who set out to develop a revolutionary line of powerful vitamins and supplements ...", but I was hoping for more specific information, like *who* started it, and what the award was. (Update: Apparently at some point in history their multivitamin was awarded "Best Of Supplements" by "Better Nutrition Magazine, a free Health Food Store Magazine). Accountability: They claim that they follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which is required by the FDA, and that their products are "Lab Tested and Proven to be the Highest Level of Quality, Purity, & Potency". They don't claim to be Good Manufacturing Practices *certified*, or third party lab tested, those two accountability measures being my gold standard. Quality: Safety seals are intact, it's a beige/yellowish powder that mixes up into a yellow "cherry" drink (I'm glad they didn't add cherry colored food coloring!). Spoon mixing resulted in particles settling (even after 60 seconds), but it dissolved easily with a mini immersion blender. It's quite sweet, but with a vitaminy taste (which I'd expect). It seems to be thoughtfully formulated, with a Mix of Amino acids, vitamins and herbs and apparently each are meant to support "Cardio Health" as the name suggests. The amino acids are also reminiscent of a pre-workout formulation. The Vitamin D is listed as 83 mcg, which is equal to about 3320 IU. The sweeteners are a mixed bag, in that they consist of Sorbitol (not a fan due to possible impact on gut microbiome) and Xylitol (yes, fan). The instructions are to mix with 10 oz water and drink it on an empty stomach. I did that today and did not get queasy, which I was kind of expecting. I think this is a good product that could be used as a pre-workout drink by someone like me who doesn't want the caffeine jitters or "tingling" effects. I do wish it was sweetened with Stevia instead of Sorbitol. The vitamin taste I can deal with, because tasting them reassures me that they're there! Read more
