No joke, this light is the single best item I have purchased all year. And it’s December! I’ve had it now for about 4 months and I am obsessed with it. I originally purchased this because I took a new job which requires about 3 months of travel per year and I have to get up every day when it’s very dark. I have smart light bulbs that go on at home when I wake up and I was worried that without them, I might not wake up on time for work. I did a lot of research and searched for a solution under $75. It had to be easy to travel with, light enough to put in my suitcase without adding extra weight for the airlines, and bright. I looked at sunrise alarm clocks and baby night lights but nothing fit all my requirements. Then the Amazon algorithm gods suggested this to me. I’m so grateful! This has blown me away. The light is BRIGHT. I keep it set on the highest brightness and I can basically do my whole morning routine (sans makeup) just by this light alone if I wanted to. It’s very light weight. I have taken it on 7 flights (checked bag and carry on), both without any issue. It was easy to set and the very best part is that when you unplug it, it remembers the settings and the time! I sometimes change hotels daily, so I unplug it a lot. The fact that I don’t have to keep reprogramming it is absolutely fabulous! I’ve started taking it on personal travel (excellent for an interior cruise room) and now have it plugged in at my house because I actually like it better than my expensive smart lights. (Granted, they do different things and this isn’t “smart”) but I love how bright it is when I wake up. It does have an alarm that makes some little noises. I don’t use that feature but they don’t seem incredibly loud. If you’re a person who needs to be jolted out of bed, this is not the alarm for you but it’s nice that it remembers the alarm time daily. The light is sturdy, collapses very flat for packing and is super light weight. I’m tempted to buy a second one of these as a backup in fear that someday mine will die and I’ll be without one. Absolutely recommend this product. 5 solid stars! Read more

I bought this light therapy / sunrise alarm lamp for an inside-cabin cruise, where natural light is nonexistent, and it worked very well. The biggest reason I chose this model is that it folds down to a very compact size, making it easy to pack. The lack of a built-in battery is also a plus, since it can be checked in luggage without concern. It’s powered via USB-C, so I could use my existing travel charger. The app control turned out to be more useful than expected—I could leave the lamp on the desk and control it from bed, which was especially convenient in a dark cabin. The light is bright and effective for waking up and helping with circadian adjustment. I had a minor audio issue initially, but a quick firmware update resolved it. My only nit is that while there’s a timer to turn the light off, it would be nice to have an option to schedule the light to turn on, which would be great for naps. Overall, this is a compact, well-designed light therapy lamp that’s ideal for travel and inside cabins. Read more

This light was smaller than I thought it would be, but it's very bright. I often use it as a lamp in my small office while I'm working and it lights up the room. The brightness seems good for SAD, it's like having natural daylight. It has three colors to choose from, a yellow/orangish to cool white. I found it easy to set up the alarms using the instruction booklet. I would definitely recommend the one with the battery if you want to move it around to different rooms. The sound effects are ok, I don't really use them. My problem with this device is the sunup and sundown functions. I was looking forward to the sunup feature to slowly wake me up, but even at the lowest level the light is really bright when it's pitch black in the morning in the middle of winter. I thought it would brighten gradually not in steps. I've taken to covering most of the light with the instruction booklet which helps tone it down to an acceptable level. For the sundown feature you have to have the light turned on for it to work, but you have to set a time when you want it to start. This doesn't make sense to me. I don't go to bed at exactly the same time every night so this is a kind of annoying. I wish I could just press a button to start sundown when I'm ready. Also it decreases in steps so it's not as gradual as I would like either. I have mixed feelings about this light, that's why I'm giving it three stars. It could be better. Read more
