I LOVED getting this into my garage to replace the existing fixture. This unit is BRIGHT. Think warehouse bright! The unit is effectively one long sheet of LED bulbs. Installation went just fine. You are presented with both a direct-fit screw-in option and a wire fit (hanging) option along with screws and molly bolts that might be needed. It IS light enough to hang unsupported on drywall without anything beyond a molly bolt. I did have the fish the power wire out from inside the housing which seemed unnecessary. I recommend this. My garage is old and I won't walk in it due to my husband's need to "collect" too much stuff. He has an extension cord and a bulb. I showed him this and he was thrilled. It came today and although it's not installed, we plugged it in and Wow, it's bright! The light covers a huge radius so this is a game changer for him. For me, I'm hoping it gives him incentive to actually see the junk he can get rid of!! He said the installation looks extremely easy so I can update on that in a few days. I got these lights to put up in my outdoor studio . It's a converted barn and there is never enough "good" light. So far, I've only hung up one and I'm still struggling with getting all the settings right. That's mostly on me because the instructions are quite good. It's just that there are so many choices and I'm not sure how I want them to work. I really like that they have a motion detector and can also stay on, dim, all the time. I've heard that light is a good deterrent for rodents and I'm hoping the motion sensor will deter larger critters. I appreciated the suggested install height but that's a pretty subjective judgement. The light does cover a wide area and it's a nice, diffuse, light that isn't overly harsh for working in. Read more

This is a great light. I have mounted one of them in my garage. I actually hard wired a cord with a plug on it so I can easily move it if I want to. This is very bright, and one light easily illuminated my entire garage. I have it set to come on by detecting motion. I have the daylight setting set so that it won't come on during the day from the light coming through my windows. This has so many settings that you can fine tune. I've never had a light with so many options. It's lightweight and easy to hang. It pretty much has all the hardware that you'll need. It's really impressed me, and it is a good value for what you get. Read more
