I’ve had and used this bag every day for 4 months. It does not carry an exceptional amount of items, but it fits exactly what I carry everyday. One notebook, my iPad, my kindle, my keys, my wallet and a medium sized pencil bag. If you carry textbooks everyday, I would consider a different bag. While the bag won’t rip on you and probably would fit 1-2, textbooks are much too heavy to carry on one shoulder. The thick strap helps with weight distribution, but textbooks are too heavy nonetheless. If you carry a very large laptop everyday, I would consider a different bag. My Hp Omen gaming laptop is taller than the bag, making it impossible to zip closed, however my ipad pro fits easily. It is still comfortable enough to carry my laptop for a short time, despite it sticking out. This bag is made of a decently thick material with sturdy stitching, allowing me to carry heavy items (like my laptop) without being worried it will rip or fall apart. Though I only carry my laptop occasionally as I said before, carrying a lot will hurt your shoulder. The bag easily adjusts to a shoulder or cross body bag, additionally it’s very stylish. The zipper is well made and sturdy. The straps are thick and have not frayed after heavy use. The bag is a thick material but is NOT waterproof. I leave the bag at home when it is raining. Pros: • Feels sturdy and well made • Functional design • Cross body strap extends long enough for a not-tiny girl to wear (I’m tall and broad, and often find that cross body bags hang awkwardly high on my frame) • Dual handles are great for different carrying needs Cons: Not many! But: •Smells weird (even my dog thinks so, and this is after Febreezing and leaving outside overnight) •The color isn’t quite what is pictured. I thought the yellow would be sunnier, but it’s more mustardy. Not bad at all, and perfect for fall and very “in” with the subdued color pallets that are trending right now. Just not what I was expecting or wanting. I’m a teacher and this is perfect for carrying stacks of quizzes and tests, clipboards, a pencil pouch, calculator and the side pocket is perfect for my reading glasses in a case. You can fit a bottle of water (disposable, like Dasani, or a 20 oz soda ,etc) in the side pocket if the contents of the main compartment are small enough - so, for instance, I can’t have a bottle in the side pocket if I have textbooks in the bag. The side pockets won’t fit any of my reusable bottles. Anyway, super cute and functional. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again or recommend, just be warned that the color might be slightly off. I absolutely love this tote. It drapes well as a crossbody without bulking, washable and built to last for ages despite washing it. I bought a 2nd one already, initially I thought my kitty had wee'd on it, and ordered another as I tried washing it. Didn't help, so I soaked it 24 hours in bitter orange enzyme cleaner, let it hang dry then washed it again. Came out sweet and fresh this time but by then my second bag had already shipped... I chose a different shade for that one jic. When it arrived I opened it, indoors this time, and realized that it too smelled like wee. Long story short, it was whatever preservative it had been treated with that stunk, I now have 2 great crossbody bags that I love, and advise any others to save money and use vinegar to soak the scent out. Well worth the few dollars they cost, and the time spent making them 'sweet'. Also very quick delivery, 2 days on the first, overnight on the 2nd. Read more
