I decided to take a risk and spend a lot more than I normally spend on underwear as I heard good things about genuine silk boxer shorts. Fast forward three years later and these are the only underwear I will now wear. I have bought 3 sets of the 4 pack over the years and only one of them developed a tear after about two years of use. They are extremely comfortable and cooling. I live in a hot state and no longer do I feel the discomfort that I thought there was no respite from. Usually my husband wears a medium, I opted to size up due to a couple reviews and I think it was a good call. So far so good he said they are the comfiest thing. We'll see how long they hold up ***update I *think we could have comfortably ordered him a medium and it would have fit about perfect. The Large works but just more lenses itself to wearing them as lounge shorts around the house. But a couple months in and they are still looking good. Read more
To start off with, this rating is only about the blue coloured ones. Starting at a little over 1 year after buying these all the other coloured ones are in great shape. The blue ones, for some reason I can't even begin to imagine why, are both torn at the seams. All are washed together, but basically 25% of my pretty expensive purchase is now useless, especially now 2 years on. Hopefully the manufacturer sees this and if it is the coloured die, or some part of the process to produce the blue ones, that more of the other colours, or another colour can be substituted. Would be happy to be the guinea pig to test out those for longevity! Read more
The material is nice. As others have noted, the seams are in an unexpected place, but I haven't noticed that too much. What does bug me is the the way the elastic waistband causes the material to bunch up. With a material like silk, this is somewhat unavoidable. The size would be fine without this issue, but because of it the waistband feels tight and irritates slightly. I normally wear S-M, but I've found that I need L with these in order to feel comfortable. I've had the same experience with the more expensive Fishers Finery. However, since they're boxers, being a little extra baggy isn't too big of a deal. I much prefer Chuochu boxers. They're also more expensive, and are 92% silk, 8% elastane, but they have traditional waistband such as you find with Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. Read more
