I’ve been curious about smart glasses for a while, but I didn't want a pair that looked like a clunky science experiment. These LIMU Gen 5 Smart Glasses are the perfect blend of high-end fashion and truly useful tech. Here is why I’m obsessed with them: Stunning Ice-Blue Style: First off, the Ice-Blue lens style is gorgeous. They look like premium designer eyewear, and I get compliments on them constantly. They are lightweight enough to wear all day without any "tech fatigue" on my nose or ears. Open-Ear Audio Bliss: The open-ear speakers are a revelation. I can listen to my favorite playlists or podcasts while I’m out for a walk or at the store, but I can still hear the world around me. It is much safer and more comfortable than having earbuds jammed in my ears all day. Crystal Clear Calls: I was worried the microphone wouldn't pick up my voice well outside, but the call quality is impressive. Even with a bit of wind, the person on the other end said I sounded clear. Intuitive Touch Controls: The touch control on the temples is very responsive. I can skip tracks, adjust volume, or answer calls with just a quick tap—no more fumbling for my phone while I'm on the move. Smart AI Integration: The real-time AI features are surprisingly helpful. Whether I need a quick notification read-out or a simple voice command handled, the Gen 5 handles it seamlessly via Bluetooth. The Verdict: If you want to stay connected without being glued to your phone screen, these are a must-buy. They offer great battery life, excellent UV protection, and a "cool factor" that most other smart glasses just can't match. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Review of the LIMU Gen 5 Smart Glasses. Not having any experience with smart glasses, I was very curious and a bit nervous to try these. However, they turned out to be fairly easy to use. These are open-ear Bluetooth glasses with built-in speakers, and the sound quality is surprisingly clear. Calls come through clearly, and callers reported my voice sounded clear on their end as well. They feature touch-based controls, and aluminum-magnesium alloy frame, mirrored ice-blue styled lenses, magnetic charging ports, and double mics toward the front on the frame. They have a modern look, and the fit is standard. It took about 4 hours to fully charge, and the battery lasted the entire day on one charge. The glasses are very lightweight, and bluetooth connectivity has been very fast and stable with no issues there. The sound quality is surprisingly clear. The tint on the lenses is very dark. Controls are handled by tapping the sides of the frame. I was able to play/pause videos, skip forward and backward on YouTube, answer calls, adjust volume, and access Siri without any trouble. The frames are compatible with both Android and IOS. Please check the compatibility of your specific Android or IOS device. The App: The app offers several features, including a translator for up to 160 languages and smart assistant access. Most features can also be used directly through the glasses. I found most of the features to be straight forward. Each pair comes with a 1-year warranty and lifetime technical support. Overall, I think these are a great introduction to smart glasses with good sound quality and useful hands-free features, especially once you get comfortable with the controls. Read more

I've been shopping around the uber- expensive smart glasses sold by the big guys. When I saw this reasonably priced alternative, I decided to bite. They are surprisingly cute/cool! Even though I am not a fan of the style of mirrored sunglasses, the blue tint of these, combined with the almost clear frames, produces a very nice look. The speakers and microphone are adequate for calls. The battery life is acceptable but not great. The touch controls are a bit oversensitive and could benefit from an app which would permit some customization. But here's the real the problem: as a woman who goes on solitary walks, I have a strong preference for open-ear headphones. It took me a few hours to realize that under the hype, that's exactly what they are. Open-ear headphones -- and not the best -- built into a pair of sunglasses! Why would I want a pair of headphones that is only useful in brightly lit locations, and only when I do not care about making eye contact? Even the translation feature, which is quite cool, is also available in some open-air headphone series, and in these glasses can not be used while making eye contact -- which feels like a fundamental requirement for translated communication. Think this through, unless there's a use case I'm not understanding, I highly recommend that you find a pair of open ear headphones with translation that you like, then finding a pair of sunglasses that you like. These really don't belong together. Read more
