This is one of the best mattress protectors I’ve ever purchased and used so far, and it’s incredibly cost-effective! I’m now regretting the UTOPIA protector I bought a few months ago on Amazon. I saw UTOPIA has the most reviews so purchased it, but it was just okay so a few days ago when I found this on sale, I tried this brand - so worth it!! Compared to UTOPIA, this one fits the mattress more snugly, and the built-in waterproof layer seems more durable. Most importantly, this one is also cheaper - truly a great value for the price. I needed a mattress protector for my son's new bed, as we switched him from a toddler bed to a twin bed. I was in a bit of a pinch and needed it quickly so I ordered this LinenSpa one, not entirely sure what to expect as I'm not very familiar with the brand and the price was low compared to other options. But when it was delivered, I was pleasantly surprised. It fits a twin size mattress perfectly, and has no problem fitting deeper (8-10") mattresses. No awkward pain in the butt pulling and stretching and fighting to get it to fit. It is soft, doesn't make any scratchy/squeaky noise (actually doesn't make any noise at all, like some protectors do), and definitely works as it should. After many many washes it is standing up for being durable. Even though it is water proof it still has some breathability to it and not too hot for sleeping comfortable. The fit on a twin mattress that has deep sides is perfect. Snug and not too tight to risk tearing it. Even though it isn't to be bleached the stains still come out with regular soap and cold water wash on gentle. Doesn't require a second fitted sheet on top. Long story short , we had a accident last night and couldn't change out sheets until morning . This does prevent water (or urine) from leaking through. this is my second purchase, because the waterproof function will not work forever! After about 150 washes it will become more porous. To extend the life, I wash in cold and air dry. (If you have to machine dry, use lowest heat setting) it fits snugly, is comfortable to sleep on as an actual sheet as there is a brushed polyester feel to the top, and is very quiet! This is a good waterproof cover for the mattress. The only downside is that sometimes my kiddos will have an accident on their bed and it doesn’t really prevent the odor from going away when I pull out the waterproof cover from the mattress I can smell odor so it doesn’t really Prevent that which it pretty much says that it is waterproof, but I’m not sure how strong the waterproof is Read more
I purchased this last minute when I found out my dog sitter was bringing her tiny floof over to house sit with our dogs. She’s told us several times about how her dog likes to hop up on the bed and pee. The mattress protector is water resistant to the small amount of fluid that I split on it but I didn’t do a thorough test of it. I wanted to make sure this mattress protector was quiet and not like the old school crunchy ones. The mattress protector is really soft and makes no noise. I would say after laying on it that it’s not very breathable but I think that is a given with this type of product. I have a memory foam mattress with a pillow top cover that makes it difficult to find sheets that fit well but this mattress protector fit like a glove. I will say I have not washed it yet but it seems like a great bargain for the price and quality. Read more
