Arrived overnight in a secure box enclosing the fancy looking IEM box. Very nice. The cables snugly attached onto the IEM shells. Nice labeling to indicate LEFT and RIGHT. Came with 3 sizes of ear tips and installed the medium size giving a great fit as if the IEMs were not not in my ears. Well done. Tried the gold nozzle but it reduced bass and treble. Preferred the silver ones which are straight thru while the gold ones have a plastic deflectors around the IEM exit canals. Using a DAC/AMP with 2 watts per side fitted with AKM 4499+4199 chips. The IEMs are quite efficient and did not push them too much but did at first. The BOTTOM HALF covering the bass is very powerful, articulate with good definition. Terje Isungset's In Memory of Nature Pt. 2 has a bass reproduction that can rattle you brain. Porcupine Tree, Dayshell, Of Mice and Men metal offerings come out very full and bombastic sounding. Phronesis, GoGo Penguins are clean and powerful and clean. Acoustic bass from Nenad Vasilic and Terje Gewelt are powerful and clean with great articulation. The UPPER HALF is where it can get tricky. If pushed to hard, the treble can get tizzy and chaotic lacking instrument separation especially when it is crowded with too many high pitched instruments. Like in Nika Niles' Synergy, it is very hard to differentiate the high hat, crash, ride, and splash cymbals...they all pretty much sound the same and indistinct - just one TISSHHHSSSHH. This very likely due to the design using Piezoelectric drivers that gives the tizziness in the upper registers especially with cymbals and not-so-good recordings. I do not know if this weakness in the sound reproduction will settle down after 100 hours of playing. This IEM seems to work well with pretty much any music genre including classical and female vocals. I think this IEM is fairly priced for the musical listening pleasure it will give you. AFTER 50 HOURS BURN IN: The upper registers in the treble region settled down and it is now amazingly clear and coherent from top to bottom with very little tizziness at the top. This is an amazingly dynamic and musical IEM. Kudos to the Simgot engineers for producing this gem. Read more

Using with an iPhone 16 pro max, I had to crank the volume almost all the way up just to hear the bass or sub bass, and I had to use apples built in EQ (yuck) to reduce the treble to balance things out. I will say the detail and clarity was amazing but overall I was very underwhelmed. The DSP version and standard version IEMs are the exact same, the only difference is the cable. The DSP cable has a built in dac and it simply does not have enough power. So I bought a zowie (I think that’s the name?) cable and a Fiio KA11 and Oh. My. Goodness. II was not expecting much from the fiio honestly. It’s so tiny, how could it make a big difference? Well it does. It does sooo much it’s unreal. Paired with the EW300s the sound is absolutely mind blowing. The bass and sub bass are full and plenty loud and balanced with the mids and highs finally. Even with the volume previously cranked the bass and full richness of sound was not in the same universe as it is now. I could set the volume almost to max with the dsp cable. With the fiio now I have the volume at literally 50% and it’s way louder. Simgot should seriously reconsider even selling this version because they are nerfing their IEMs so badly. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to get into IEMs. I completely understand now why people get into this hobby and end up buying multiple sets, some people buy dozens of sets. Seems silly till you have an experience like this, knowing music can sound this good already has me strongly considering buying a second pair. How on earth can music sound this good for $100?? What does $500 get you??? I previously owned the older KZ earbuds (~$50) and AirPods ($250) and Baseus ($30) earbuds, and sennheiser momentum 4 ($300) as well as their TWS ($250). I have shure SE425s ($300) I use for live music and I thought those sounded great. None of them even come close to sounding as good as the EW300. I understand now why they are recommended so much on Reddit. I’ve had Apple Music since it was first available and I have at this point hundreds of thousands of songs and last night I hit shuffle on all and just closed my eyes and listened and it was such a great experience. Even with no EQ everything sounds just perfect. The amount of detail you can hear is insane. On Jambi by Tool, I can hear Maynard whispering and all his layered vocals perfectly. There are things in that song I’ve never heard before. There are reverb vocal effects panned to either side I never heard before. Every little pick scrape of Adam’s guitar playing is there. Hearing the rumble of Justin’s distorted bass is a treat especial. Every single instrument is present and accounted for rather than fighting for listening space on lesser headphones. On Pink Floyd’s Money, the sound stage and spaciousness is just incredible. The warmth of the recording absolutely shines. Even random tracks that came up that I’ve added over the years sounded amazing and demanded my attention. There were some songs that were so spaciously rich and full and immersive it had this bizarre effect where I didn’t think I was wearing IEMs but rather that my audio had switched to a surround sound system and I was sitting in a room full of speakers. I’m giving 5 stars because the sound quality is quite literally mind blowing. But don’t get the DSP. Also these don’t stay perfectly planted in my ears the way AirPod pros do, though I’ve only tried the stock tips and one aftermarket set which helped a bit. The microphone on the stock cable is also a joke. It’s so weird the company approved that cable, there’s nothing good about it. 5/5 stars on the IEMs and the tuning nozzles and extra bits of foam and o rings. 2 stars on the carrying case. It’s just a carrying case and I’ll probably get a diff one. You’ll see lol. 1 star on the dsp cable which is nearly useless. Did I say 5 stars on the IEMs? Get them you will not regret it. Especially if it’s your first hifi iem. Read more
