I got the Lite Brite Touch and it has been a lot of fun. It brings back the classic Lite Brite feel but with a modern touch, literally. The touch screen works really well and responds quickly, so placing lights is easy and satisfying. There are lots of built in designs to choose from, and you can also make your own, which keeps it from getting boring. The colors are bright and look really nice in a dark room. It is relaxing to use and easy to spend a lot of time just playing around with different patterns. It is simple to use and does not require a bunch of setup. It would be great for kids, but honestly adults can enjoy it too, especially if you grew up with the original Lite Brite. She's really into pushing buttons right now, so this is perfect! I like that it's quiet so I can take it to church but still keeps her interest. It will also be perfect for the car. The toy actually has a game mode and a create mode, making it even more versatile. My older girls (8 and 11) liked playing with it too, so I think kids of differing ages would like this. One thing that should be noted is that it is smaller than I expected. This is actually a bonus for babies or toddlers, but could be disappointing for older kids. Pros & Cons: + Easy to push buttons + Interactive + Quiet +/- Smaller than expected (good for small hands, less interesting for bigger kids) Overall, I'd definitely recommend this toy for babies who like buttons and lights. This is such a great toy; the three modes make it more than one activity to hold attention longer, the light is very pretty and fun to look at, and the animations are neat. It's a nice size to fit in a purse or bookbag...great for airplane travel, which is what I originally got them for. The battery last a long time, too...I don't remember having to charge them after the very first charge, and you can save up to five creations. My children, ages 6 and 9 still play with these, and I got them about a year ago. When they have sports but not at the same time, it's a great way to entertain them while they wait. It's also way better than an iPad...not passive at all, you have to create, play, act and this toy does not affect their behavior negatively, like when they are on screens. And no little pegs to get lost like the old school Lite Brite. Really happy with these...they are a little pricey, but I think it's worth it. Read more

As a kid, I always wanted a Lite-Brite but never got one. That’s one of the best parts of being a parent—you get to create those memories for your own kids. My daughter has barely put this down since she got it. She loves designing pictures and is especially obsessed with the little hidden game and animation features, which give it a fun modern twist on a classic toy. The colors are bright, the designs look great in a dark room, and it’s a nice mix of creativity and screen-free play. My only wish is that this version were a bit bigger, but I understand the larger one was a limited edition. Purchased for the car/at church. I have a 4 and 6 yr old and they both love it! The "create your own" mode is fun and they silently design. The "animate" mode is a favorite for the 4yr old as he can just touch a button and it explodes color. Why I couldn't give it the full 5 stars?? It beeps! The animate mode and game mode have noise. Love this for a car toy. Also great for church as long as it is not in the game modes. Kept my son occupied and he is excited when I pull it out. I think missed the directions for the games though when I tore it out of the packaging for a quick distraction, which is my bad. I will have to eventually figure that part out ... Read more

This is one of the best toys my toddler got for Christmas which was totally unexpected. Bought on a whim as a last minute stocking stuffer and he hasn’t put it down. Loves to play with it at restaurants or places where most kids have iPads but we don’t allow. He could push the bottons endlessly and he thinks it’s so cool to show us what he made. I know this toy will grow with him because he’s only 2 and it’s just the beginning of what he can do with it. Read more
