After reading tons of reviews I ordered a newborn size and premie size because most reviews said it ran big and I wanted to use this as a take home outfit and maybe for one or two more future wears. My baby was born 7lbs 11 ounces and couldn’t fit the premie. It was just right but in a “this is too small way.” So we went home in the newborn and it was wasn’t too big. It was a good fit. I ended up giving the premie to my nephew that was born 5 lbs 11 ounces. If you want to use this as a take-how outfit and is expecting a baby less than 7 lbs, get the premie. Otherwise I would stick with the newborn. The outfit is soft and bright white. It’s a perfect gift for a baby shower at this price i went ahead and bought the matching receiving blanket and bibs.
