A larger size (~90 pound) dog played with this but definitely wasn't one of the favorite toys. While easy to throw around, the ball is a litlte on the harder side (great for durability) It's not so great on the squishable side (\chewability and fun play). Hard to bite due to the density of the toy, the dog still likes playing with it but it's just not enjoyable like a baseball that can fit in his mouth. Overall though, decent dog doy. Read more
My pup loves this football toy and it holds up well to rough chewing. Plus, the Alabama Crimson Tide design is perfect for game day. It’s soft but sturdy—great for tug and fetch. Read more
I live 10 minutes from Purdue, so this was an easy grab. The ball squeaks really well, and the logo feel tough. My dog was pulling the fur off the ball and was trying to swallow it, this part was not ideal. Overall a nice ball, not quite suited for a super tough chewer like a Boxer or Pitbull. Read more
It is too difficult to chew on. My dog is a big chewer so he lost interest after the initial introduction. I loved that I could choose the logo. Read more
We have two large golden retrievers who like to chew. One, in particular, usually destroys any dog chew toy we buy, usually within minutes. The only dog chew toys that last are the toys advertised as “tough” or durable but even they eventually get torn apart and shred to pieces. The Littlearth NCAA Tough Chewer Pet Football seems to be holding up, however. We have had the ball less than a week, but it is still full intact, including the cloth wrapping around the ball. Both of our dogs have taken turns playing with the ball and they have not yet managed to damage it. We even threw the ball in the pool and it floats, although water does get into the ball, below the rubber. So while it can be used as a pool toy, it makes sense to keep the ball out of the pool and in dry conditions. The size itself is perfect for large dogs. Smaller dogs may have a problem getting their mouths around the edge of the ball and lifting or carrying it. Bottom line, the ball has lasted longer than most dog chew toys we buy and even the outer material, which appears to be similar to a the felt on a tennis ball, is still attached. Highly recommended! The quality is fantastic. This is not a cheap looking pet toy. Good size. Very happy with this. Will definitely be getting more in the future! Go Bama! Read more

Our dog removed a lot of the outer brown layer of this dog toy in just a few minutes. For most dog toys, that would mean a one-way trip to the garbage can, but this toy has what seems to be a really solid rubber or plastic layer underneath, so there’s no stuffing to pull out. The squeaker seems well protected, which is good because our dogs always try to get the squeaker out of a toy. Assuming this inner layer is safe for dogs, I guess the “remodeled” toy will last a while. But it the football look and team logo is really important to you, you might want to look elsewhere.
