I bought this dress as a casual, lightweight outfit to wear around my house / yard on hot, humid summer days. I was skeptical about how it would wear based on other reviews (particularly complaints about the pockets), but I am actually pretty happy with it. I really like the fabric. It's a super soft, stretchy jersey material. Very lightweight and breathable. I bought the multicolor tie die version and I'm happy with the overall appearance of the colors. The pockets are in the perfect place for my hands, but I totally get why lots of reviewers complained about them. Depending on your height, they'll likely sit just below the hips and they do tend to stick out a bit. But since I'm mostly wearing this around the house or over my swimsuits this summer, I'm not particularly bothered by the pockets. I just kind of adjust the fabric as needed, no big deal. The shoulder straps,on the other hand, are about as long as they can get without revealing all the lady bits that are supposed to be covered up. It's pretty low cut. The straps are not adjustable which I was initially upset about, but after wearing the dress a few times, I'm actually satisfied with the way they sit (they are *just* long enough to cover a bralette, but prob not a regular full coverage bra). I am not "tall" (apx 5'5") and have relatively even proportions (torso vs leg length) - I think this fits me just right. If you have a short torso, the shoulder straps might be too long. All in all, I like this dress enough that I have considered buying it in another pattern. First I got a small one, and it was way too tight for my taste, the pockets sticked out so I thought that I should size up. So I returned it and got a medium. Now the dress is too big for me and the pockets are still sticking out. It looks awful. Not flattering at all and the material looks and feels cheap, different than the material of the first one I got. I'm retuning it. Read more
