The gameplay is good, and the graphics remind me a bit of half life. Not greatly refined, but considering how long PlayStation has been in the VR market, it's pretty damn good. I agree that it is not a game that revolutionizes anything for the PlayStation and to all the people out there that are thinking this stuff is going to come out like a hollodeck from star trek right out of the gate, you clearly didn't grow up with the foundation of games those of us in our generations did. (Atari and Pong when an entire console was built to play one game) The big price for early adapting is always going to be the time it takes for the tech to be used to its highest capacity. I digress.. The gameplay is good, and for the price it is worth having a full length title in the ps4 VR case. I enjoyed the cut scenes and most of the objects were fairly easy to interact with. I do with they would have made it a bit more room scale, but I think Sony in general isn't utilizing that as much yet, as some of the other VR systems are. All in all, it kept me entertained and although the controls took some getting used to, this is one of the few VR games I can sit and"move" and not require an Eme-bag (Eloquent way of saying barf-bag). This game is just awful. The description made it sound pretty cool and the art style isn't bad but the controls make it pretty much unplayable and the load times are frustrating. I understand that VR is a new thing so I was not expecting greatness, I thought it would be good for at least one play through but I was so wrong. Like I said before, the controls ruin it. Whenever you try to turn your character you end up whipping almost all the way around. You'd think you could avoid turning by just walking sideways sometimes but you can't walk sideways, so you're forced to make a series of disorienting turns. It is beyond irritating. Read more

Interesting and promising tittle, unfortunately the controls take the shine away. Read more

The game looks amazing and the VR experience is epic, but sadly the game is unplayable due to the controls. First what was done right, the VR; Looking around in the world of Loading Human is fluid and natural and makes you feel like your actually there. Then come the cons; (So soon?, There just that bad.) When looking around with the VR, in the center of your FOV (field of view) is a white dot reticle which you use to look at and select objects. Sounds simple enough right?, Well then comes the item inspection aspect. Whenever you pick up an item the character is then holding it in their hand (obviously) but you cant move the hand to raise the object up to look at it, no you have to tilt your head down at a severe angle to line that white dot up on the object. For example imagine yourself sanding with your arms relaxed and holding an object with your arms slightly bent forward holding it a bit out in front of you. OK, now lokk at the said object without moving you arms and positioning your forhead in a perpendicular line with the object. Strains your neck a bit dosn't it? Now you have to hold that position for 10-15 sec before the character realizes your looking at the object and inspect, talks about it. This is a painful experience after continuous straining to look at item, but is not game killing control mechanic, that would be the movement. To move your character in Loading Human you can either walk forwards or backwards and look around with the VR. You can slowly move the character left and right in a sideways motion but only if you are standing still before you move, if you move left or right when walking the movement glitches and stops and you have to stop moving the controls before the control stick responds again. But even though you can move left and right, the character is still facing the same direction on a set path, and if you want to move in a different direction, you have to select a new path with the right analog stick to walk in. But when you select a new path your character teleports to the new path. So instead of simply turning your character around with the right stick, you sect paths which are the center of your FOV and the direction your character is facing. So the simple act of walking around the round becomes a teleporting mess. This quickly becomes very frustrating as you try to line up the character path just so you can walk up to an object that is just barely off to you left or right. Also with the constant teleporting of the camera, it is very disoriating and with every telepot causes the screen to flash which is a killer on the eyes and with probally cause some people to have seizures. So in the end the brick like controls completely kills any fun and VR immersement aspect of the game. Do not recommend unless they patch the movement controls to be way more fluid. 5 stars for Colorful world of Loading Human, killed to 2 stars by the clunky controls Read more

Definitely not a game in the classic sense, more of a VR experience. I think it took about 2-3 hours to finish the story. Mostly one performs simple tasks to move the plot along, though some are a bit tedious and silly like making tea, while others take a little ingenuity to figure out. Funny how divided folks are on the movement, I really liked the control scheme using the move controllers, wish I had a run option though, but otherwise had no issues with it and found it more immersive than say the teleport scheme used in many other VR games. I also liked that the environment was highly interactive, just found it extremely amusing to break bottles and throw records across the room! The story did draw me in, was very interesting and I hope there's another chapter with improved graphics and more interesting tasks to perform. Read more

Honestly truly a well rounded early-VR game. Bought the game on-sale for 19.99 and felt I got my moneys worth. Controls/Immersion Interesting and innovative approach to the controls allowing the player to full move around in a VR environment. Using Move controllers, have not tried out gamepad controls but getting used to the move controllers felt really immersive. Game/Content Graphics may not be up there with many of the more AAA titles but definitely has its own charm in art style. Huge walk-able space. The game mainly takes place at a science facility at the South Pole. From playing the main characters memories you can explore the different floors/rooms and some outdoor scenes of the area. Story Though the voice acting at sometimes feel a bit off, I really like the story and where it may lead. Compliments to Maximum Games.Hoping that the future chapters release! Read more
