After reading all the reviews prior to ordering this moisturizing body oil, it seems there are two camps: love it or hate it. Here’s my take from the middle. What I love: I enjoy the pleasant mild almond scent, but there are enough “smells like wet dog” reviews that make me wonder if the scent changes as the product ages. While I wouldn’t describe it as a “lather”, I do appreciate that it thickens up more like a lotion when I rub it in my hands before applying to my body. This lessens the slip factor of an oily shower floor. Like others, I was surprised to see that the bottle is not safety sealed, which increases the chances of the product leaking during shipping or travel. The oil itself leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturized and I appreciate not having to apply lotion after my shower, esp in the summertime. That being said, I do find the cost to be expensive and I’m not sure the product is worth the high price tag, when there are so many other great brands on the market. Read more

I've used L'occitane almond oil body wash for some time now. I like the way it leaves my skin clean, soft, and smooth. I can shave my legs with it and never have that dry-skin feeling afterward. You only need to use a small amount, and the bottle lasts a long time. I bought the refill bottle, so you need to transfer it into a sturdier container. Otherwise, the thin walls of the refill bottle can cave in when you pick it up. Read more
