This mug is a great size for me — I like them on the bigger side. It probably won’t fit in a normal car cup-holder, but that’s ok with me, as I wanted something for the house. It keeps my tea very hot, and I like the simple yet effective lid mechanism. What I REALLY like is the silicone on the bottom. Not many mugs have that feature. This is exactly the kind of mug I wanted for drinking coffee around the house. I just need a simple "splash cover" and not one of those fully sealed "spill proof" styles that everyone is selling. The top is an easier fit to press on than Yeti models, and the thumb slider is easy to move back and forth with your thumb. It holds the heat really, really well and I've actually been able to reduce the amount of coffee I brew each morning because I don't ever have any tepid coffee to dump out. I also stopped "preheating" my mug with hot water because it was actually keeping the coffee too hot for too long! I bought this for my wife to use for her coffee. We have tried a couple other brands and styles of insulated mugs, but after only a couple days use, I felt compelled to write a review. With the other mugs, the top is hard to get on and off, often leading to messy splashes all over the sink, the counter and me! One of our mugs has a screw-in top. To get that top off requires a paper towel in each hand to get a good grip to unscrew the lid. With the Locknlock, I was first impressed with the apparent quality of the mug and the lid. The second thing that I noticed was how easy the lid was to insert and remove, yet it still seals against leaks. My wife was very impressed with the swing lock on the lid, it locks open or closed. It keeps hot coffee hot longer thana ceramic mug, but we haven't timed it to see if the coffee stays hot for 3 hours. If you are looking for a spill proof insulated mug, I enthusiastically recommend the Locknlock. I plan to buy another one for myself, We purchased the 16 ounce mug. Read more

I like this mug, but it's for use while working or sitting on your patio enjoying the morning. PROS: The mug keeps my coffee at the right temp (providing you prewarm the mug with hot water), has a nonslip base, is attractive, dishwasher safe, mouth is large enough for easy hand washing and is heavy enough to not easily tip. CONS: This mug does not fit in your car's cupholder. It does leak if turned on it's side. The handle is not all that comfortable as the metal strip making the handle is rectangular rather than rounded. It's a nice heavy mug but because of the handle shape, it cuts into my fingers and becomes tiresome to hold. All in all, I feel this was worth the money and I have always had good luck with LocknLock products. I would recommend this mug as long as you aren't wanting to use it on your commute. Read more

Works really well. The size is great for coffee with creamer and you can use a regular size spoon to stir. I use it at work and it keeps my coffee hot for a couple hours. The lid is easy to use but I don’t think it’s leak proof. I haven’t used it in my car or for travel. I throw the mug in the dishwasher and haven’t had a problem. I recommend handwashing the lid. The best thing about this item is how stable it is on my desk. It’s not tall or odd shaped and it doesn’t tip over. I hate the tall skinny type mugs that tip over easily. Read more

this mug is great for ice cold beverages such as sodas or beer, but totally unsuitable for hot coffee. being all metal base and having such a small drink opening on the lid makes it difficult to drink hot coffee especially when half full - since who wants 20 oz of hot coffee. I regret the purchase but will keep to use for ice tea and cold beverages. Maybe if I were 50 years younger instead of 85 I would appreciate this mug. Read more
