So I ordered these boots from ShopBop which is an Amazon affiliate. They fit nicely and are really cute. Here is the thing... they are NOT worth what they are charging. The sole is GLUED on... for $700 I would expect the sole to be stitched on. I understand that with heels and some dress shoes that is not the case but for BOOTS which I would assume are something you are going to be wearing regularly and outside... you would want soles that are attached with more than adhesive. I read comments about other LR soles falling off in the rain so I was sure to inspect these. Finally these boots are MADE IN CHINA! 10 years ago Loeffler Randall was crafted beautifully and all their boots were made in Italy... a few years later they moved production to Brazil and a lot of people complained about the decrease in quality, despite Brazil being know for producing fairly good shoes. Now they have moved their production to China? That can't be a good sign. Loeffler Randall continues to cut corners but do not lower their prices. Their savings aren't passed onto us but rather we pay for them with lower quality products. It's a real shame because the actual design and silhouette of these boots is my favorite I've been this season. Read more
