We use the Logitech C270 HD webcam on two family (Mac) computers, primarily for family Zoom meetings. Operates flawlessly and provides good resolution & color on low incandescent lighting. Typically use the Logitech provided software for fine tuning the brightness, color, etc for best results. We have had one malfunction after several years of usage, but no other problems. I bought this camera in a rush for a job interview, and the interviewers were able to see and hear me well through the mic on the camera (I got the job). Price to value ratio is fantastic. It's not super fancy 4k, but they don't advertise it as such anyway. There's no cam cover, but you could just unplug it if you're very paranoid. Read more

This is as bare bones as you get for a Webcam and it does exactly what is supposed to do. I keep one in my work bag and one at my home desk. Sound and video are great. I've only used Logitech cameras and the C270 is honestly all you need for work. Read more
