Had one of these maybe 20 years ago. It was garbage. Now?!! Way better. The old one had no remote (I mostly got it to use on paranoid roomate, it wouldn't track movement and had no remote, so useless) This would work great on paranoid roomate. Also, it works great in my home office for when my bosses want to see if I actually shower. Or dress. Speaker and mic work flawlessly, which is super cause laptop took a fall and now it doesn't seem to know it has speakers and mic. I don't really use it for confrencing, but at very close to three digit pricing, it is a fantasitic camera that I don't have to mount to my monitor. Read more
I am familiar with this camera, since I have several at work. For personal use I wanted the same model. A refurbished version was a mistake. When I purchased this, the first one did not work out of the box at all. So I returned it for a replacement. The second one I plugged in - its power light flashed briefly and then it was dead. I checked it by switching parts with a working camera; it appears that the main unit has burned out. My conclusion is that buying a refurbished version is risky. Read more
