I had a Logitech years ago and my current mouse stop working. This mouse is used by me as I play World of Warcraft (WoW) it is classified as a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). This mouse has a feature that I missed. The part where you can move the mouse wheel left or right and assign a hot key to it in the game is perfect. I can assigned the left and right mouse wheel movement to multiple configurations. I do all of this. I have this assigned. I hold the control key as one key-bind for one spell with both left and right. So that means by press the wheel to the right or left I have 2 spells. Then hold Control key down after binding them left right, Then assign 2 more by holding shift Left or Right, Makes 6 key-binds That alone makes this a 5 star. Middle mouse is very easy to press with out rolling the wheel. Plus there is a lower thumb button in addition to the B5 B4 to press. Can not say enough about the DPI. You need a high DPI when playing games so your not late on moves and spells. I Love this and wish I had found it previously. This is a really nice feeling mouse. It has some weight but is not to hard to adjust and does not slow you down. It was reconditioned. This mouse arrived and appears to be new. The only give away was the cord was not wrapped with a bread tie. No nicks or wear on the mouse on the bottom or buttons. I can change the colors on the mouse as its RGB controlled. There are lots of features and more buttons to use such as DPI up or down. USB wired in my case the cord does not get in the way. I recommend this mouse. Read more

This is a decent mouse, it does everything you expect and has several extra buttons you can assign other functions to. I found the Logitech software (G Hub) to be a bit hard to use, but I eventually got the side buttons working close enough. Mainly I wanted to disable the forward and back functions and use them as generic mouse buttons that other programs could detect, but the software only allowed me to assign the buttons to other keyboard keys. The scroll wheel is very smooth so I actually have to put more effort into turning it than with my old mouse, but I expect I'll get used to that. It does have a button to unlock it and allow it to spin freely which is nice (and kinda fun). I was glad to find it included weights I could insert to adjust the feel of the mouse, I'm used to a wireless one and this mouse is much lighter without the batteries. Specifically, it has six 3.6g weights you can put in, letting you choose the balance yourself. Unfortunately, the first mouse I got didn't work. Windows could tell something was plugged in to USB, but couldn't do anything else with it. I tried several things around updating drivers and firmware, but was unable to change anything. I sent it back and ordered a replacement, which arrived within only a couple days and the new one worked immediately, so hopefully that was just an unlikely fluke. Read more

The G502 itself is THE MOUSE. For gaming or just general computer work. Nothing else comes close to the comfort and design, especially for larger hands. The weight system is gimmicky but there is a noticeable difference between all weights in and no weights in. The button selection, the fancy lights, the sensor - nothing comes close to this mouse. It's the only mouse I will ever use until it's impossible to get a new one anymore. Now, after like 5 years my previous one finally kicked the bucket (when I spilled coffee on it, otherwise it would probably have lasted me another 5). So while using my spare G400s I decided to try my luck at a refurbished G502 HERO I found listed here, about $25 cheaper than the cheapest new listing I found. The listing said "EXCELLENT" condition and didn't mention there could be missing parts or reduced functionality. The mouse is sticky, the cover that hides the weights was almost glued to the mouse, this refurb was not cleaned at all before selling. The right mouse button essentially clicks on its own, and the firmware profiles were all custom meaning the memory was not wiped prior to me plugging the mouse in. While an extremely unlikely scenario, this thing could have infected my PC with something. I shouldn't have expected much from a refurbished tech product from Amazon, but the listing description combined with the fact that the reviews for the refurbished items and the brand new items are all listed together, it makes it seem like you're getting a truly refurbished item. The only reason for the 1 star review is because of the refurb experience. I will be returning the mouse and buying a new one of course. If you feel like taking a chance on anything refurbished listed on Amazon - don't do it. They don't know what they are doing in the slightest. Read more
