I'm convinced this is the best wired keyboard under $100. It has incredible red keys that are thoroughly satisfying to press and have a quality feel to the key's weight, but require only about 20% of the full travel to recognize a keypress. So you feel a solid resistance to prevent accidental keypresses, but intentional typing is very easy. The body is much heavier than I expected, due in part to what I think is a brushed aluminum surface that doesn't scratch, and gives it a cooling effect to the touch. I thought the weight would make it awkward but it actually helps the board stay in place and feels very premium. There is a USB input in the backside which is really useful for quick swaps instead of having to reach to the PC to change the input. I use it to plug in my mouse -- oddly, to make use of this, the keyboard's USB braided cable splits into two inputs on the end, but as long as you have two open USB slots on your PC, it's no problem at all. The software is extremely easy to use and includes a "Game" mode that can toggle keys to serve as macro functions or to be disabled -- I personally never use Caps Lock, so I have fully disabled that key. It's wonderfully convenient. The only shortcoming, and I would say this is the only complaint I could reasonably give about the keyboard, is that the lighting effects and RGB customization are very limited compared to competitors like Corsair and Razer. However, a software update someday could very easily fix that. Leading up to getting this keyboard, I bought and returned a couple of others -- I tried the Steelseries Apex 3 was cheaply built and the 5's blue keys were monumentally loud (otherwise an amazing keyboard) and the 7 was too large a jump in price to justify basically just quieter keys, and the Razer I tried had an awful keypress squeak. Somehow this dodged my searches until I was about to give up and buy something else I knew I wouldn't like. This one is well-built, looks and feels beautiful, is packed with features, does exactly what I want and expect... I just love it! Read more

The material quality is great. The keys are nice. I wish that they had a more higher quality click. Sometimes the keys are a little bit chunky. The macros work great. The music buttons are very useful. The scroll wheel is coinvent to have. I really like how you can adjust the back stands so that the keyboard is at a slight angle. Overall, looks sick and functions great! Would recommend to friends. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This product has endured years of MMO gaming and still stands to this day. I love this thing and I love the audible keys. Since I originally got it, the app has changed with Logitech, but there are more features for customization with the lighting, which is cool. I like that it has a bonus USB that I utilize for charging my phone during gaming. Read more

So... this keyboard is pretty good here is a list of pros and cons. Pros: - it functions in Linux unlike Corsair keyboards that need an external service to poll correctly. (Note the Logitech software doesn't, you'll need Mac/Windows if you're going to do any configuration to it). - The switches feel like cherry reds and the design are like cherry reds including the cross switch pattern, so likely these are a logitech knockoff, but they feel good. - They do have RGB light bleed unlike the Romer-g switches but that's fine, I've only used MX switches in the past and I think they look really good in comparison. - Actuation point is quite sensitive (this is a pro to me) - Great to type on (I've been typing/programming on reds for years and I like the feel of these) - Great typing sound (Not too loud, but obviously still mechanical) - Minimalist and not gamery in anyway. Very low key outside of the RGB. - Rear USB port. - Nice weight and little if at all deck flex. Very solid and heavy-feeling keyboard. Cons: - Logitech got cheap and instead of having three switches for the spacebar and two for larger keys (ducky does this), they use a metal retaining bar like on older keyboards. While the key stabilization feels pretty solid, there is a bit of a muffled feel when hitting the side of say the spacebar or backspace key. I would have easily paid an extra 10 bucks for those to be extra switches to have a more uniformed feel. (and no I don't want the G513 because I don't care about a wrist rest and the gamer keycaps) - Logitech support, so if you go to their website and look up the g512 there is a product page but their support center has nothing on it. I don't really want to drag my box back out again to read the manual but it seems like they have a product gap in their database. Kinda garbo. - Cord for the keyboard isn't removable (though to me this is really a pro, my ducky would constantly disconnect as a result of the 'removable' cord) - No dedicated multimedia buttons. (though they exist using the FN key) - No Linux software support is a drag, but I can work around that. Overall very good keyboard with some quirks. I think it does feel better, looks better, and it functions better than say the Corsair strife or K70. I don't think they keyboard typing feels as nice as typing on the ducky but I like it better overall and you really can't beat the price. TL;DR: Good performance to value here if you're looking for an attractive minimalist keyboard with decent switches. Read more

slightly different from my other keyboard for some reason, but an issue I ran into is that the sides are kind of sharp, I've smacked my mouse against it a couple times and I have deep grooves in the side of my mouse now because of it, it is a metal keyboard though so you get what you pay for XD let's just say if someone breaks in I am not grabbing my gun I'm grabbing my keyboard Read more

Upgrading a G15 logitech keyboard to this and what a night and day difference. Clicking is not too loud or firm, perfect for my usage. Some folks say logitech keyboards are lacking but this is not your average office keyboard. The aluminum is brushed and cold to the touch, very nice. Read more

What I was looking for. Not too loud for a first timer with a mechanical keyboard. No problems as of yet and paired with Logitech's software you can set the color any way you like. Read more

I really love the RGB lights and also really love the brown switches. One slight problem are long keys (space/shift) tend to wobble a bit. Overall I am very satisfied with the build quality overall. Read more
