Logitech M510 Wireless Computer Mouse Comfortable Shape with USB Unifying Receiver with Back Forward Buttons and Side-to-Side Scrolling

I’ve always used a wired mouse when I had desktop computers. When I got a laptop, I just used the pad. I noticed that some of the games I was playing were easier to play with a mouse so I went back to a wired mouse with my laptop for gameplay. I figured that I’ve always used a wired mouse so why change a good thing? That changed when my dog got rambunctious and decided to jump up on me while I was playing and he caught the wired mouse and pulled it off of my table (he’s never done that before or since. He just wanted my attention I guess.). Thankfully I was able to pull it out of the sub port before he pulled my laptop off the table too. But the mouse hit the floor and was toast. I figured it was time to try a wireless mouse so it didn’t happen again. I can’t believe it took me so long! This wireless mouse is fantastic! It’s comfortable in my hand, it works well with my laptop and is responsive enough for the games I play. I play games like The Sims 3, The Sims 4, Simcity and The Tenants. None of them are fast paced so I can’t speak to how responsive it is in games where people are competing or that require quick reactions. I really like that I can turn it off when I’m not using it which will prolong the battery life. It was also really easy to set up; just plug the usb thing in the USB port and you’re good to go. I appreciate that because though I can do basic installations of drivers and such, I’m by no means good with more than basic computer skills. It’s nice not to have to fuss. It’s a little heavier than I’m used to but not in a bad way; it just feels really solid in my hand and well made. I would buy this again and I would recommend it. Read more

In an action FM (force Make-ups), our cat killed the previous MS mouse (seriously). This Logitech M510 mouse is not only yet surviving but doing the job on the computer perfectly well. Fits right for palm and fingers of my right hand (sorry, left-handers, can’t speak to your question), moves with precision and reacts to button-pushes or wheel-turns with the intuitively correct amount of force. I am using the mouse for office and GIS design work (no gaming). I am using this mouse on my MS surface Pro notebook when connected to my home office setting and take it with me when traveling to a construction site. Removing the small receiver from the USB port and into its housing inside the battery compartment (and vice versa) is easy and quick. Reconnecting happens faster than you need to move your hand from the receiver at the USB port back to the mouse. Let’s now hope that the bright red color intimidates the cat enough to not swipe it off the desk as she did with its predecessor. Read more

This is my go to. I have several of these at any one time. I keep one at the office, one at home, and one in my backpack. I have never had any problems with this mouse. It has smoother buttons than other brands with great tracking, it is simple to synch, and has worked for me every time. It is easy to set up and has adjustable sensitivity, and great quality. I like the size of this mouse. It is full size and it fits my hand well. I really like Logitech's unifying receiver as I have a Logitech wireless keyboard. This mouse lets me use this one receiver to control both mouse and keyboard...saving me from using up my USB ports on the computer. The receiver is stored inside the mouse near the battery compartment before use and it stores my keyboard receiver nicely, too. This Logitech mouse also has the stand by function which cuts down the drainage of the battery when not being used. Haven't had it long enough to tell if it get's the 2 year before I have to change batteries. The mouse is programmable, but you have to go to their website and download the information to program it. There are plenty of tasks to choose from and it's easy to assign them using the side buttons and scroll buttons. BUT...it doesn't have the double click that you can assign to the left side (finger click button). While you can choose the double click, you have to assign it to the side buttons or the scroll button. This really defeats the purpose of speed as it can be awkward to press the side buttons or scroll button to double click. It's easier to just click the left finger button twice. All and all, I really do like this mouse. If it does what it states in the description, then this will be a fantastic mouse in the long run. I won't hold my breath for the 2 year battery life, but it will be worth it if it can go a year on a single replacement. Only time will tell. Read more

Simply Perfect! I replaced the m510 mouse with 3 other mice, once it died. Steel series wireless gaming mouse, Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic and M560. However, none of the above mouse Satisfied to the extent the m510 does. Its simply perfect. Pros : - Perfect shape & size, not too small not too big - Comfortable back and forward buttons location ( compared to all 3 of the above mice) - perfect wireless range. the receiver is placed Inside the Chassis, facing in a direction opposite to the face of the mouse.. but no skipping, no lag no delay.. - perfect for gaming, even for fast paced fps games like CS:GO - Works without software (Ive been using the mouse without the SetPoint or other logitech software, and everything just Works Plug & Play) - Goes to sleep automatically, and resumes immediately, with a slight shift. - on/off button located beneath + nano receiver slot in the cover. - incredible battery life.. earlier one lasted for 9-10 months. - unifying receiver (though I dont use a logitech KB) - works flawlessly on my desk without a mousepad.
