Overall, I've been very impressed with this mouse. The design is sleek and stylish, it fits my hand extremely well, and all the customizable buttons are great. I don't care about the IM and email buttons, so the fact that those don't work is not a downside for me. I just use the buttons for other things. Probably my favorite feature is using the left/right scroll button for switching between tabs in my browser. The keystroke combinations (Ctrl+Tab for right, Ctrl+Shift+Tab for left), which you can set for the buttons, works for either Firefox or IE 7. Interestingly, the drivers that come with the mouse work better than the "updated" drivers available on Logitech's website. I give the mouse 4/5 stars for using a 2.4 GHz transmitter. It's ridiculous they'd use 2.4 GHz, when that's the frequency wireless routers use. I have two of these mice, one at home and one at work. We don't have a wireless router at work, and that mouse hasn't had problems yet. I do have a wireless network at home, and that mouse has had a few minor "jitter" problems, as well as temporarily forgetting its settings. I'm going to get a USB extension cable so I can put the receiver closer to the mouse and see if that helps. Other than that, it's a great mouse, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Read more

This is absolutely the best mouse I have ever used. Works on any surface, versatile, easily customized, great ergonomic design, power saving features, low battery warning, and uses inexpensive AA batteries. Laser tracking and wireless digital radio communication make this, Logitech's first "smart" mouse, a real genius. Don't be fooled into thinking that a rechargable mouse is better. What is the cost of a couple AA batteries every few months, compared to running out of charge in the middle of a project? And there is no docking charger to clutter your desk. The included "SetPoint" software enables you to easily change the function of most of the 14 commands available on 10 buttons. For you "southpaws" out there, Logitech loves you, too. There is a left-handed model available. If you use Internet Explorer and Outlook, this is the mouse for you, and the price is right. Read more

Excellent mouse -- until it broke!! I never write reviews, but this is just way too annoying not to share. Purchased this mouse December 2006. Worked "great" until about a week ago. Loved it -- fit my hand well & had super battery life. Started acting really erratic about a week ago. Fine for awhile after idle then slow to / won't respond. After digging my DELL OEM, two AA per month, battery eating, wireless monster out of the junk drawer today I realized just how bad the 610 had been acting; for quite awhile. Fifty bucks buys an awful lot of AA batteries and I don't have to go back into the mouse settings to reenable the enhanced pointer precision setting every patch Tuesday, either. Still happy with the 450s for my laptops so far, but am seriously over this 610 paperweight! Read more

This is about my SIXTH Logitech mouse now over these many years. I even had this same model a few months ago, but I let my kid talk me out of it.Silly me. THAT one was a DREAM compared to this piece of junk.I have had this since, oh, maybe April, & the problems are just getting worse every day. This mouse skips all over the page, constantly makes me wait to use the cursor again, plus it eats batteries like there's no tomorrow.FRUSTRATING describes this mouse to a tee! I cannot believe how horrible this mouse is! I'd like to throw it out of the window, but that would be adding insult to injury. I'm going to the Logitech pages next, but I'm not hopeful. Then I'll look on the blogs. I hope to find a solution....Probably won't. I did my research before I bought this, but the previous one worked so well, I never thought I'd have any problems with this one. HAH!! No more Logitech mice here. Read more
