The best mouse I've ever used (for day-to-day PC use)

ChristianAugust 4, 2021✓ Verified purchase

TL;DR This is a good mouse if you're looking for something comfortable and easy to use. If you came to this product page looking for a gaming mouse, you're in the wrong place. I recently started shopping around for a vertical mouse after developing carpal tunnel. I bought a cheaper option before this one, but had to return it the day that I got it because its wireless receiver was so poor that I couldn't use it without a USB hub or extension to keep the receiver right next to the mouse. Now on to the Logitech MX. This may be the best mouse I've ever had the pleasure of using, at least for ordinary activities on my PC and for games that don't require much more than the mouse and a few keys on the keyboard. The ergonomics are on point. I never noticed how uncomfortable regular computer mice are to use until I got my hands on a vertical mouse. My wrist sits in a more natural position, the MX is large enough that it fills the entirety of my large palms, and the shape of the mouse is made in such a way that your hand sits as naturally as the wrist does. The primary buttons and scroll wheel took me about an hour to get used to simply because I've used standard mice for the last twenty years. After that time, though, there's virtually no difference in the ease of use between both formats. There are two buttons, one for page back and page forward, directly above where the thumb sits, giving you a comfortable and more convenient way to navigate web pages. There's also a button on the top of the mouse, easily accessible by the thumb, that adjusts the speed of the mouse cursor. I believe that these speeds can be configured with the Logitech Options application, but I haven't tried. One marketed feature of this mouse that I don't really see the value in is for gaming. Actual gaming mice have several buttons on them, sometimes up to a dozen. All of these buttons should be remappable and be able to have presets saved for different games. The Logitech MX is, while incredibly comfortable and worth the asking price, not a gaming mouse. In terms of mappable buttons, it's a standard mouse on a more comfortable to use platform. If you're looking for a vertical mouse made for gaming, this isn't it. One last thing that I'd like to point out is that this mouse has three separate options for connecting to a computer. There's a port built into the front of the mouse to plug a USB-C cable into. While mainly for charging the in-built battery, this port can also be used to connect the mouse to your computer. There's the standard receiver dongle that will plug into any USB-A(standard) port. Then there's the feature I wasn't expecting. This mouse has Bluetooth functionality, meaning that it can connect to any PC with Bluetooth, as well as tablets and phones that allow the use of a mouse pointer. Read more

Perfect Balance of Comfort, Precision, and Features

I’ve been using the Logitech MX mouse for a few weeks now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The ergonomic design makes it extremely comfortable for long hours of work, and the build quality feels premium and durable. The scroll wheel is smooth and adaptive — switching automatically between precise scrolling and free-spin mode is a game changer for documents and spreadsheets. The customizable side buttons are easy to set up, and they’ve really improved my workflow, especially when multitasking between different programs. Battery life is outstanding; I charged it once when it arrived, and it’s still going strong. I also love how seamlessly it connects across multiple devices — switching between my laptop and desktop is instant with just one click. Overall, this mouse has improved my productivity and comfort. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-performance mouse that’s worth the investment, I highly recommend the Logitech MX. Read more

Recommend for day to day office work

RobNovember 17, 2023✓ Verified purchase

I would recommend this product for day to day office work but not for gaming. It takes a little time to get use to shape and control but once you do it helps with preventing wrist pain. Overall Likes - Ability to switch between three different systems. ie I have mine connected to work laptop and personnel MAC and I can easily switch between each system with a push of a button. Again the comfort level is nice and prevents wrist pain after long day. Overall Dislikes - I guess a gamer could get use to it but there aren't enough programmable buttons that a gamer would need. Very comfortable, connects to multiple devices!

Immediate wrist and hand relief for a heavy computer user. This puts the wrist in a natural position where the radius and ulna bones are not twisted (hang your arms loosely at your sides to see what I mean) and it feels like there is less strain on tendons going through my wrists. NEUTRAL - Rechargable battery. I prefer to use replaceable rechargables (AAA or AA), however this one works well. - Getting the hang of programming the connections can be difficult, but once it works it stays working. PROS - Very comfortable - No learning curve (for me), it felt natural right away. - 3 device memory switch. (each can be dongle or Bluetooth) - Connects to unifying dongle or Bluetooth - Unifying dongle lets you connect a few keyboards and a few mice to one dongle (if they are Logi unifying mice/keyboards). - The built-in DPI switch has been useful when switching workflows - Battery Recharges FAST, lasts months. - Fits my special use case -- I use this mouse on right hand and track-ball on left hand to get the best of both works. I get the scroll-wheel of the mouse and the precision of the track-ball (and not having to pick the mouse up occasionally to recenter the mouse with the screen-cursor. In fact, I just reset the mouse by moving the trackball then I don't have to pick up the mouse) CONS - Must use a Logi utility software to reset unifying dongle memories if need to clear programming. It works well, but something to install. - no dongle storage. If this is your travel mouse, this could be a problem. With the multi-device (unifying) dongle and multi-connection mouse, this has not been an issue for me. I just use the mouse's bluetooth when traveling and dongle at-home. Read more
