Logitech PTZ Pro Camera - USB HD 1080p PTZ Video Camera for Conference Rooms

I needed a PTZ USB solution that was a bargain, and I found it. The LOGITECH PTZ pro is awesome. I do professional video conferencing systems made by Lifesize, Polycom, Cisco so I know what the best PTZ cameras can do. That being said, I am satisfied with this inexpensive, professional looking camera. It is not perfect, but, it is nice. There are 3 presets, and they are not as robust as a Lifesize Camera 10X but they work. As for far end control, no one uses that crap in a live call anyway. As a matter of fact, PTZ is overrated when on a video call. most people set the camera shot up and leave it like that for the whole call. I highly recommend this product. This camera worked great for the first 3 meetings we had used it for. It stopped working for the 4th meeting. I am working with Logitech warranty dept. and it is a painfully slow process. Considering the price of this camera it should be able to handle being used more than 3 times. The warranty process moves at a snails pace and am not able to use this high dollar camera for my meetings while I am waiting for Logitech to act on replacing the camera. Read more

Quality isn't as good as you;d think. It sucks in low light. Zoom quality is legit because it's optical, but the sensor is still junk like the rest of the web cams. You;d think it would have better h264 conversion. Read more

It stopped working smoothly within a year, is very heavy and not easily portable (delicate but also heavy), uses a ton of energy (quick laptop over-heater), and a hefty price tag. Nice image quality and I liked the remote but the downsides are considerable. Read more

I was looking for a major webcam upgrade for our small conference room. Decided to go with this Logitech PTZ Pro, without the microphone unit and other accessories. Glad I did. I just purchased the Jabra Speak 510 for audio, connected via bluetooth on our table, and that was much more affordable and easy than having to deal with all the wires with the Logitech kit. The only ding on the camera is the robotics are noisy, but we won't be moving it all that much. Pictures quality, auto-iris, auto-white balance, and auto-focus are superb. It looks professional, and definitely was a pricey, but well worth it upgrade. Love Logitech products overall, this one didn't disappoint. Read more

We bought this for a conference room. It works really well and was easy to set up. The remote works great to move the camera and zoom in on individual people or areas of the room. Sound isn't included so we bought a separate speaker/microphone that sits on the conference table. We use this with SKYPE. Read more
