Perfect mouse

I bought this mouse to replace the oldest of my three M525's, which was about 9 years old when it finally died. The new one has subtle differences in labels, but the same shape and features, and I hope, will perform as great. The M525 is large enough to be an ergonomic desktop mouse. Yet it is quite compact to serve as a portable mouse for a laptop. The tiny transceiver and internal compartment to store it are great for portability. Battery life is stellar. It literally can live two years on a single pair of batteries. Even if you keep it always on. Also, batteries add just enough weight so it feels solid, but not massive. Buttons are snappy. Click sound is quite audible, some people may not like it. Laser is accurate enough to make pixel precise movements. And it works on most surfaces very well. I never use a mouse pad for it. Radio is very reliable, latency is well below my brain sensitivity threshold. If you experience any issues, check that you don't have a USB 3 hub or high speed HDMI or DP ports near the transceiver. They interfere with 2.4 GHz things. Read more

Nice quality mouse

This is a little bigger than the very popular M325, which for people with bigger hands is just a little too small. This is big enough to work for a person with a bigger hand but probably works best for people with medium size or smaller hands. It's a mouse that will work for a home computer that has multiple users of different ages. For bigger hands the M310 or M510 is still better, or it is for me. The M510 is really comfortable holding onto for me personally. But this is certainly usable. Like the M325 and M510 it has a wheel with a switch when pushed either direction so that's nice. I'd say it's worth the extra cost over an M325, and it looks really nice. Read more

Best mouse I have ever used

I have used the M525 mouse for more than 10 years. Use with a Mac Mini and a Mac Pro Book. Just ordered another to use with a Windows Surface and a Dell Windows desktop. Never requires a download and install of a driver. Quick and accurate. Exceptionally fine tracking. RF works as soon as your computer unit starts up. No issue with connectivity. I have used the mouse control software from Plentycom Systems - SteerMouse. The M525 has two direct click keys, a Mouse Wheel that can be programmed for wheel-click down, left and right wheel moves, and multiple key-clicks for control using the SteerMouse control app, which with Macs is located in the Preferences. The M525 lives for around 3 years on a set of 2 AA batteries. The mouse battery area is home for the RF connection dongle, which is generally instantly recognized when plugged in to a USB port. The storage location is ideal if you want to move the mouse to a different computer. If you do wish to use the extensive capabilities offer by SteerMouse you should remove any Logitech controls/apps. The mouse design is simple, comfortable, and easy to use. A great value. Read more

A well made portable mouse

I started looking for a mouse that I can use for my laptop. I already had a large mouse for my desktop, but I wanted another small and portable one that I could easily carry with my laptop. First, this mouse is light, small, portable, yet sits well in the hand. It has a nice grip that makes it very nice to handle. Second, the battery life on this mouse is three years! That means that I can take my mouse with my laptop without worrying that it will need to be charged since it is a wireless mouse. Third, this mouse has a very well made imaging sensor by Logitech, making it work on pretty much any surface. That means that I do not need to take a mousepad along with me when I take this mouse with my laptop. The only reason that I took of 1 star is the fact that I have had problems with the Unifying Receiver before. I have had a total of 2 receivers that broke after 2 years and I had to replace those. Since this is a newer model, I hope that the receiver will last me longer. Overall, it is a great, cheap, and portable mouse that I always take with me on the go. Read more

Long battery lifetime

*Edit 2* - 8/30/2021 Bought this product again since I needed another wireless mouse. The first one I bought back in 2013 died out/stopped working about a year ago. Luckily, I had a wired mouse to use to continue at that time. But now that I need another wireless mouse, I have decided to re-buy the same mouse I bought before and to try again. And what can I say? It still feels really smooth, the wireless distance used this time is so much greater and the amount of walls the frequency has to penetrate has increased yet the mouse is working perfectly. I love it! It is working as intended and functioning perfectly in the form of "wireless". I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a simplistic mouse for every day uses. Love this mouse, the usb drive is very small and doesn't get in the way of my things. I can bring it with me without worrying about wires, and the battery life on this is amazing. I've left it on all night a couple of times before on accident but it would still have a long battery life. I've only replaced the batteries once but in like 5-6 months. *Edit* It's been almost a year now since I've had this mouse, and I've only changed the battery 3 times so far. Great mouse for simple usage and lasts reallyyy long. I recommend getting this if you're looking for a reasonable price and efficient mouse. Read more

Another quality Logitech product.

I love this mouse. It fits very comfortably in my hand, the scroll wheel third button is generally easy to use without accidentally scrolling instead of triggering the button, unlike many other mice I've used. I particularly like the scroll wheel's side tilt function, where you can push the wheel to the left or right to go back or forward in a browser, file explorer, or other program. I use that constantly. And, of course, sharing a single bluetooth dongle between my mouse and keyboard so I only have to use up one of my USB ports is great. Read more
