I recently fractured my wrist (non-displaced fracture of the medial radius). I had been wearing a different brace while I waited to see a doctor, but it was really uncomfortable around the thumb and the end of the brace and it also didn't give enough support around the wrist. When I found out the wrist was fractured and I would be wearing a brace for at least another month, I bought this one. When I went in for my follow-up visit, I showed the doctor both braces. He pointed to this one as the better of the two. The only problem I have is that my wrists are at the small end of the Small size so that the end of the strap was loose and would catch on clothing. I thought about trimming the ends, but since I'll probably need to use this from time to time and can't guarantee I won't gain weight, I decided to tape down the ends with black Gorilla tape. I probably should have just trimmed them, since that didn't work as well as I hoped, but it did work. I kept my other old wrist because I found that this one started to smell after a couple of weeks, which, I hear, is normal. After washing it, I used gauze underneath to absorb some of the sweat and keep it fresher. Read more

I bought one of these for myself and one for my wife. We are league bowlers and these proved perfect for keeping the wrist straight. They are very comfortable and made of quality materials. It keeps my wrist mostly immobilized, the neoprene is nice as far as fabric. After a couple of weeks of wearing this, my wrist is less painful. The downside is that to keep the wrist more immobile, I have to tighten it to the point of discomfort. Read more
