Needed an air inflator for my bike and car tires. Liked the reviews for the LOKITHOR but thought it looked a little oversized due to the fixed handle. So it was not my first choice but should have been, was wrong about that. Purchased a similar sized unit on Amazon but had to return it because it caused the bicycle valves to leak. Then ordered a small good looking unit that worked on the bike but caused the car's tire valves to leak and ran hot. What is going on here I thought? Have I lost the ability to apply a clamp to a valve or are the valves somehow worn out or did they develop a defect? Then decided to give it one last shot with the LOKITHOR. As it was removed from the carton was pleasantly surprised that it was smaller than expected, and though had a little heft, was handy to hold due to the built in handle. Read the instructions and looked at the unit's layout which is intuitive and easy to use. The bicycle hose clamp attached easily to the valve and WITHOUT any air leak. Only had removed a little air and set the preset to 80PSI. It went from 75 to 80 in about 5 seconds with no issue. Went to the car. Gun shy of leaks from the previous 2 inflators, decided to go up from 32PSI to 35. It did that in about 15 seconds with NO LEAKS! Then bled it down to 30 and got to 32 in about 7 seconds. WOW! Checked the achieved presets with a pressure gauge and they were spot on. The hose reaches the tire valves no matter what their position. The noise level for this inflator is moderate in comparison to others, but still noticeable. The light is very bright as are the flashing and emergency modes. Did not test the jump start function but the cables look solid and are designed to prevent the positive and negative metal contacts from accidentally touching. The air hose on this unit, unlike some others is not fixed in, it screws in with a collar on the outside that gives it a tighter seal. So, down the line, if necessary, can be easily replaced. It charged a phone without a hitch. All the ports are covered with an easily flipped open rubber cover. All the buttons have a positive feel. The readouts are well lit and easy to see. The unit's battery capacity is indicated by four bars, it came out of the box with two and went to one by the time testing was completed. Charged it for 2 hours and it went back to 2 bars. Left it connected overnight and is now at 4. There are 2 pouches. One small one for the accessories and a larger which holds both the unit and the smaller one keeping everything separate and accessible. It can all be held from a drawstring or from the covered handle as there is enough give in the material to get a grip from the outside. 2nd UPDATE: I had to use this to jump my car today as my battery unexpectedly died, and it worked perfectly. Very grateful for this product and to the seller for their 5-star service! UPDATE: I am changing my review to a 5-star review because this company stands behind their product. They reached out to me to try to troubleshoot the issue, and when it was clear that I just got a “lemon” or had some sort of unusual technical problem, they immediately offered to send me a new one, and it arrived within a few days. It’s working well upon testing and I will be taking it with me on a road trip in a couple of weeks, and I feel confident based on the level of customer service I received and the seller’s care for their product and their customer experience that I can trust it to be there for me if I need it on my trip. Any product in any category can fail - that’s just the way life is sometimes. But it can be hard to find brands that truly stand behind their product and do the right thing, so I am giving this product and this seller a 5-star review for that reason alone (and because I really do like the product - I’ve used it many times) ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this item in spring of 2022 and used it to jump my car a few times before I had the battery replaced. The only other use it has seen since then was when I helped a few friends and coworkers jump their cars as needed, maybe a handful of times. I always followed the instructions and kept it charged after each use. I also tested the tire inflator part after receiving it, just to make sure it worked (at the time, it did). I always test all of my new products off Amazon when they arrive, to make sure everything is working before the return window closes. All of that said, I just took it out yesterday because I had a deflated tire, and tried to use it to inflate the tire. It did work to inflate the tire, but I noticed that the pressure gauge part stopped working. The first time I tested this (and according to the features on the listing and in the instructions), it is supposed to tell you the current tire pressure as it's filling the tire. This is an important feature so you make sure you don't over- or under-fill your tires. Being that this item is less than 2 years old, I would expect that this feature should still be working just fine. This is a pretty big disappointment to me. As a female driver who does a lot of road trips alone, it's important that all of my emergency kits in my car are in proper working order. Hopefully the seller will reach out and make things right.
