The leather on the bag looks just as new as when I bought it with no peeling on the sides like some cheaper feeling purses. It is also super soft to the touch. The chain still looks gold after several months of wear, without any dullness or tarnishing from being worn against the skin like some cheaper quality chains I've had on purses before. The zipper works so smoothly, there's never annoying snags. The strap stays on well and I haven't had to deal with the clasps constantly breaking.
