I needed some long sleeved/athletic shirts for outdoor backyard tasks. Men's active wear is always cheaper than ladies, so I couldn't pass up this 5 pack/multi color set with the coupon ($4.72 per shirt). Can't beat that! Breathability/Sweat: Keep in mind that these shirts are made of 100% polyester, so that's why they are so cheap. Polyester doesn't have the breathability or the sweat absorbant properties that pricier multi-blends provide. So these shirts are not ideal for extreme heat/prolonged sweating conditions, but for the price point are suitable otherwise. Perspiration will be visible on the light colors, but not so much on the black or navy. No Stretch: 100% polyester doesn't have the familiar stretchy quality most are accostomed to. So if you are on the fence about the sizing, definitely size up. Sizing up with a looser fit will also afford you a bit more air flow to release heat. UV protection: The good news is polyester does provide UV protection. If you do happen to size up like I did, the bonus is that the arm length will be long enough to cover backs of hands when doing outdoor tasks. The fit & feel: The material is a silky smooth texture and lightweight. Matte sheen. The fit is a straight cut with fitted crew neck. They look quite neat and tidy. None of the colors were sheer or see thru. Polyester is famous for fast drying and minimal if any wrinkles or shrinkage... So that's a plus. For the price, the shirts are too good to pass up! I recommend. But like I another reviewer stated... You've got to make some concessions... Lol. Update after one year: still as good as new. Have gone thru washer/hot dryer countless times. Purchased originally for doing sweaty yard work/outdoor chores in high humidity... But they ended up being a year round staple since in cool weather they work as a great layering piece under clothing. Read more

These are way thicker than what I was trying to find. I wanted a base layer and these are too thick and unbreathable for that. But they are sown straight and I haven’t seen any loose threads or errors like that. They get very hot if you try to use them for any type of exercise since they do not breathe at all. I’m giving them 4 stars because even if they aren’t what I want they are good if you’re looking for cheap, warm, long sleeved shirts that you don’t have to worry about ruining.
