Perfect if you do roller sets. I dilute it to 1/3 strength per the bottle instructions. It's exactly the right product for helping your hair hold curl softly without any hint of stiffness or residue. Theres a reason this stuff has been around forever. you can also mix with the blue version of this product if you need a little extra moisture in your hair. I will be buying this product as long as it is being manufactured. So glad I found this. I have very porous, finer hair that is naturally curly. I use this along with my Dyson Airwrap tool with the coanda curling attachments. It works better than anything else that I have tried and results in full, bouncy voluminous hair that is shiny and healthy. I don't know how I happened upon this MIRACLE, but OH how I wish I had done so years ago! Over the years, I have paid a king's ransom on perms, body waves, fancy heated (and non heated) curler sets, curling irons, lotions, potions and devices! Why? Because I was born with perfectly straight hair. You know -the kind that curly or curly-ish haired people are paying a king's ransom to have these days? (Brazilian blowouts, Keratin Treatments, etc.) Well, neveryoumind what's hot/fashionable -- I will ALWAYS want CURLY hair! And FINALLY! The hair fairies have granted my wish! And HOW! - After washing, conditioning and blotting my fairly thick but very fine, shoulder-length hair, I followed the instructions on the bottle and mixed 1/3 Lottabody to 2/3 water in a small bowl and gave it a good stir. I then combed my damp hair into various (pitiful) sections and rolled each onto a sponge roller. Not the pink foam rollers with the plastic (built-in) clips, I use the kind that look like a mouse pillow with wings that were popular in the 80s. (and probably the 50s for all I know) These are difficult to fasten in place and I guess this is why they aren't easy to find these days. But they are SOFT and easy to sleep on. I guess you could also use bobby socks, like my mom did. - Ah! But I digress! (Forgive!) - So I spent the familiar 20-30 minutes (give or take) rolling my damp tresses around each mouse pillow, carefully applying the Lottabody mixture to each section by dipping my comb into the bowl and then combing through each section before rolling. I slept pretty well for a person with her hair tied in various and sundry clumps of spongey mouse pillows (some with bobby pins attached for added "security.") - And although my hair did NOT completely dry during the night (does yours?) in the morning, I used a blow dryer on whatever clumps were not completely dry (that would be ... all of them) and presto! Feeling confident that it was safe to do so, I unrolled each section, one by one, like I've SO many, many, many times before. - Only THIS TIME, the curls stayed! And stayed and stayed! SO strong were these curls, that I didn't feel the need to apply hair spray! And my HAIR WAS SHINY and BOUNCY for two full days. - Curly and far thicker than usual for 4 days! - Never in all my days has my hair held a curl for longer than half a day at BEST. Not even when I had a strong perm! I decided to stop getting perms or putting any kind of serious salon type chemicals on my head years ago because I think those chemicals are harmful to this earth and its inhabitants. - I also never wanted to worry ever again about swimming in the ocean or in a swimming pool and emerging from said body of water with damaged hair. - So this product is my gift from God! I bought this for my elderly mother. She said it did help add somebody to her hair and it seemed to keep the curl a little longer than it does without. It was not sticky. I've used this product for 40 years. Lately it's been increasing difficult to find so thank you for having it. It holds. If you're doing a good old fashioned roller set it is the must have go to product. Gives crisp, touchable curls. Not sticky if diluted. Be advised, this is a concentrated product...don't use it straight, mix it with distilled water. I use it at a 2 to 1 ratio. I have tinted hair and supposed to use it 4 to 1 but my hair is also thick and curly so that's the ratio that works for me. The bottle was slightly loose when it arrived...in the future please tape the top to the bottle for security as there is no seal inside the top. Thanks. This product if used correctly will last you a long time so it's a good value. The scent is wonderful...might be the one reason I keep buying it other than the fact that it works like no other product out there. Read more

Very good Setting Lotion.. Dilute it with water keep it in another Bottle.. Good for Roller Setting. also put a small amount in damp hair before Hot Curling Brush.. Helps to keep style. Read more

Not sure if this works vs the cream selection. On one extension, texture of hair dramatically changed to abrasive rough however other extension no problem but not too curly m. No scent very easy to use. Read more
