This suitcase fit everything I needed to go to NYC for a 4 day trip. It had no problem fitting in the upper luggage compartments on my flights with Delta and American Airlines. The suitcase does not have a way to extend if you need more room. The front pockets are nice if you plan to take a laptop, IPad, or any other technology. If you are not packing any type of technology the pockets would not be as useful and do take away from storing clothing for one more day.
