Definite classy upgrade from my old trash cans
I like this so much that I've bought it in black after a friend gifted me the silver one; I've decided to use the silver for recyclables, and the black for things I need to put in the landfill can. I LOVE that the removable inner liner has handles. I LOVE the sleek textured outer appearance of the can, and I LOVE that they fit side by side behind my kitchen pass through so that I can keep the trash out of sight of the living/dining room while having it ultra handy. It takes me a week to fill it with landfill waste most times, and it makes it a whole lot easier in hot sun or rainy weather to not have to make extra treks to the garage where the garbage company's cans are. My old trash cans were white--without lids--and every stain showed inside. This allows any staining to stay in the black liner plastic can inside the outer metal one should the bags leak. I can't rate cleaning yet because I've not had them long enough, but the foot pedal on both work very well so that I can put things in either can with my hands full and not have to manually lift the lid to put things in. I'm sure they're dentable if you hit them with enough pressure, but both of mine came undented and in pristine condition, so I'm very happy with the build quality of the cans overall. They're not too heavy to lift--I'm 66 years old--and I was able to unpack and carry them to their set up place by myself. They say they're 16 gallon, but 20 gallon bags were recommended for these. I had 18 gallon bags already so I tried those, and I stretched them to fit the edges of the inner can perfectly so that they stay put. The 20-21 gallon bags recommended fall inside the plastic can. The bags I'm using are the Gainhope 18 gallon tall trash bags (grey) in this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C5D71SGP/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=A14T12Z4RM1K8X&psc=1 My eldest nephew saw my silver one and he said, "Auntie Carol, I'm JEALOUS of your trash can!" Maybe I'll have to get him and his mother one for Christmas, and since they both like black, I'll get them a black one. To me the metal stands for recyclables and black for the landfill, but I've ordered appropriate stickers for them also so that nobody's confused at first sight as to which one is which. I would give them ten stars if I could. Read more
