Our 15.5 lbs Golden-doodle, Shih Tzus just Loves to think he's a 100 lb Golden Retriever. That goes for diving into the lake and retrieving tennis balls. This smaller size of these allows him to grab it quickly and without creating fear in our eyes that he will never wrap his jaws around it like he did with a full sized tennis ball. Too Heavy for Launcher

I purchased these to use in an automatic ball launcher, but they are too heavy for it. The balls fit in the launcher and will shoot out, but they only go a foot or two, even when the launcher is set on the 30 foot setting. The original balls that came with the launcher are much lighter and go the full distance. They are good sturdy balls and will probably last a good while, so I'm going to donate them to the local small dog park. Read more
