The color and appearance of these earbuds is just as described and pictured. They work great. The sound quality is a bit better than expected at this price point. The microphone works great for not just phone calls, but also recording video. They do cancel out most ambient noise without being 100% noise cancelling. They're durable. My teen can be a little rough on her earbuds and these have held up nicely to daily use. They fit comfortably in her ears. They're designed well and are a good value. Read more

Sound quality is good I'd say just from using them there only just a little bit below Skullcandy branded wired earbuds. (Not by much though!) The only complaint I have is that the earbuds themselves seem to be made out of heavier materials and therefore tend to fall out of my ears particularly if I'm laying down while using them; putting in the smallest earbud tip size they came with seemed to have helped a little bit but still not completely fixed the issue. I'm giving the Ludos earbuds a 5 star rating based on the quality for the price. I have a couple pairs of Ear Fun wireless earbuds, but haven't wired earbuds since the "beats by Dr. Dre" buds that came with my HTC Rezound phone. I thought those were great, but they failed years ago. I've been wanting wired earbuds for hiking and working in the yard, stuff like that where wireless tend to fall out of my ears. I've been waiting to get a dac/dongle so i could use wired buds with my phone, and finally bit the bullet when Walmart had the Helm Audio bolt on sale for $60. I read reviews on various buds and based on the Ludos reviews, i figured for $8 i couldn't go wrong. At the same time, i bought a pair of HiFi C10 earbuds for $30 (i bought all of these products on or about Prime day, so got great prices). I expected the C10s would have much better sound, but they have a much larger earpiece, and i didn't like the idea of the large earpieces in my sweaty ears (may as well dip them in the ocean!). Thus, the Ludos earbuds. I first tried the Ludos buds (and C10) on my laptop bc it has a 3.5 mm jack and a USB-C plug, so i could compare the buds with and without the Bolt dac, streaming via Amazon Music HD. Without the Bolt, the Ludos buds sounded very good. There wasn't a lot of dynamic range, but the highs, mids and lows were fairly well defined amd the music sounded good. The sound improved a bit with the Bolt dac, but more noticeable was the increased volume, due to the dac amp. For the price, i was pleased with the sound. Hiking with my Pixel 8 and Ludos buds jacked into the Helm Bolt, i'm pleased with sound, which, bc of mobile data, i listen to at SD (but i also tested HD with the phone and the buds sound a bit better). With respect to the C10s, the sound quality was orders of magnitude better than the Ludos buds (mucho dynamic range) - well worth 4x the cost of the Ludos - but, again, i bought the Ludos for listening under sweating conditions. Surprisingly, i didn't hear the boost in volume with C10s and the Bolt dac, like i did with the Ludos buds, but, though it's not a competition, the C10s clearly outperformed the Ludos buds. As other reviewers have mentioned, the build quality of the Ludos earbuds are quite good. They seem like they will take the snags and tugs inevitable with hiking and working while wearing them pretty well, and after a couple of uses, and snags, i'm happy to be listening to tunes on my hikes. Robust construction. The fit is marginal. Sound is, at best, flat. Other inexpensive earbuds produce much better sound. The Skullcandy Jib, at almost 1/2 the cost of the Ludos, has a more robust sound profile and a superior fit. Downside is the wiring is inferior quality to the Ludos. Read more
