Like you, I've bought glasses many times before. And you could drink water out of every one of them. So why spend more to buy these particular glasses? Several reasons. For one, they are much better looking than run-of-the-mill glasses. Amazingly, they look even better in real life than they do in the pictures. Equally important, they continue to look good, even after many cleanings in the dishwasher, something that I can't say for many other glasses. Those are beautiful solid glasses. I absolutely love the square shape. I was wanting some square glasses to make my square plates and these glasses are a great fit. I wish they came in a Gothic Black color, that would match my black ceramic square plates perfectly. But those glasses are the next best thing. Read more

A few years ago I bought a set at a store that is now closed and unfortunately I have broken all but one and I thought I'd never find another set like it. With my arthritis the shape of the glass is easier to hold and the size is perfect. Like: They look good and the heavy base makes them stable. Neutral: The sides are fairly thin crystal. This provides a dressier look and feel but might be less sturdy than you are looking for. These are beautiful glasses; I especially love the thick heavy bottom and the design in the bottom. If it really matched the description, I would have given it 5 stars and kept them. However, the description, as the title says, is very misleading, if not flat out wrong. I like glasses to be at least 6" tall and at least 2.875" in diameter, which is pretty typical and also what the description says. However, these are square shaped glasses, which I would have been fine with, however, their sides are only 2.5" in length, which makes them too narrow for my taste. If they had described them as such, I wouldn't have even considered them, let alone order them. Now the diagonal dimension is 2.875" However, that's what they wrote, nor is it how square objects are measured. They are usually measure by length and width for measurements. The word they used, "Diameter" isn't really a measurement associated with a square, it's usually associated with circles. However, I did look it up and in the rare instance someone uses diameter to describe the dimension of a square, it refers to the length of one of its sides, not the diagonal. So, to visualize just how narrow these glasses really are. Take your typical circular glass and imagine a square glass narrow enough to fit inside of that circle and that's what you've got with these. So, if you like tall and narrow glasses for certain cocktails, these will be fantastic, but if you are looking for daily use, I would look elsewhere. They are beautiful enough I would like to keep them, but I am just not going to use such tall narrow glasses. Read more

Beautifully designed. First set we’ve purchased since our kids adulted (successfully landed). I’m a fan of hand washing so I don’t place them in dishwasher although I’m sure they do fine. Frankly, if they can sit in my sink get banged around while washing they stand the test. Great product. No regrets. Read more

Before purchasing I searched and searched for glassware that had a touch of class but also a touch of edge, not plain and boring. I thought I found it in these. They do look very nice. Unfortunately, upon first run in the dishwasher, I noticed the first fatal flaw. The bottoms, being indented, hold water. This requires sopping up a good bit of water from each one before taking them out and putting them up. The second flaw is that they break very easily. So far we've had three break in four months. For comparison, our previous set experienced a breakage rate of approximately a glass a year. Yes, there's a warranty that says you have to ship the broken one back at your expense. If one has to do that, you might as well just buy new ones. Pricey, fragile glassware with a worthless warranty. Read more
