Yes, these eye drops are far more expensive than your run-of-the-mill red eye drops. But it's worth it. Lumify uses a low-dose brimonidine tartrate that no other eye drops have. I have chronic red eyes all my life and used every eye drop out there, finally settling on Opcon-A. Other drops use Tetrahydrozoline as the active ingredient and has the shortest duration of effectiveness before your eyes are red again, requiring many applications a day if you're trying to keep your eyes white. Opcon-A uses Naphazoline and seems to work longer than Tetrahydrozoline. But over time, your eyes will realize a shorter and shorter duration of effectiveness. Lumify made my eyes whiter than any drops I used previously. From Lumify: "Other redness relievers constrict the arteries in your eyes, which can deprive the eye of oxygen. And that works to relieve redness at first, but commonly causes rebound redness. Which, kind of defeats the purpose. But low-dose brimonidine? It works differently. Low-dose brimonidine restricts the venules, which helps to relieve redness without limiting the flow of oxygen. The results? Whiter, brighter looking eyes that last up to 8 hours - with a low risk of rebound redness when used as directed." Read more

Read on for product review, but first - pay attention to the packaging, what is advertised and what is sent. The description clearly stated that it would be (2) bottles of the .25 oz / 7.5 mL size. Great value. What arrived was the 0.08oz / 2.5 mL bottles. Not as good of a deal. As for the product, I have had 4 eye surgeries starting from kindergarten through graduate school. I’ve always suffered from red eyes. The typical vasoconstrictors worked a bit if used infrequently (prolonged use creates more redness). Naphcon A is awesome during allergies. But Lumify is unbelievable! It really works - my eyes are white like I have never seen them. I only use them once a day, and sometimes forget. They typically last the entire day into the evening. I will put another drop in if we are going out at night. I have not had any side effects. I’m just shocked over the great results. I recommended them to the pharmacist at our local supermarket, and he said he cannot keep them in stock. Read more

My only complaint is that prices and volume differ considerably and are very confusing. The problem may be on the producer’s end since the smaller volume seems to use the same bottles as the higher volume. 2.5 compared to 7.5 ml. I ordered some, but waited and waited, it never arrived and was refunded in the end. My experience is that one has to be extremely careful when ordering eye drops and that they are extremely overpriced. Be cautious and try to find much cheaper solutions. I have seen my eye Dr. quite often for irritation, allergic reactions to eye drops (most) etc. Lumify and Refresh Tears work best at the moment. And Pataday sometimes, but again, very expensive. Make sure to take all eye make up off in the evening, get rid off mascara and such that seem to be extremely aggressive in my case, especially those metallic shimmery eye shadows. Read more
