On the webpage, it appears sparkly but it is not. It is very basic, the zipper works great and it is larger than most lunch boxes. I velcro an ice pack into her lunch each day and the box does stay cool but not as cold as her Pottery Barn lunch box. I like to feel that the box is still giving off cool air from the ice pack after 8 hours. This one does not hold the cold in for 8 hours but it does keep it cool until lunchtime. With this one, if she doesn't eat everything it will be warm when she gets home from school. It is lined with silver insulation but this is not the best insulation for use in a lunch box. I like that is a bit larger than most boxes. It only has a handle and does not have straps. This doesn't seem to be a concern for her and it does relax and fit in her book bag. No complaints about this cute and functional lunch bag. The zipper broke on our Daughter's go-to lunch bag. Despite the fact that there were no reviews for this lunch bag at the time that I ordered it, I decided to take a chance. Thankfully, everything worked out well. The two most important things about this lunch bag: 1. It fits her bento box that we keep her actual food and snacks in, and 2. It fits the reusable freezer pack that we use in her different insulated bags to keep them cool. Plus her drink cup. So everything fits just as expected. It's small enough that our Little Girl has no trouble toting it around with her. But not so big that it's cumbersome or difficult to store anywhere. The zipper works fine, the bag seems sturdy enough (for what it costs). No negatives about it so far. If there was anything that I could change about the bag, it would be to take the "B.X.P." brand name off of the front of the bag. I get why companies slap the name of their business name on their products, for branding purposes. But that's better suited if it's a brandname that people would recognize. Nobody knows who B.X.P. is, so I could have gone without it. But it's no dealbreaker, and our Daughter doesn't care about it, so I suppose that's what matters. The bag gets a thumbs up from our Little Girl. It gets a thumbs up from my Wife and I, both. Best of all, it literally costs less than a large pizza from most known chains. So even if the bag only lasts a semester, you still got a pretty good deal off of it. But we'll see just how long this one lasts. For now, I would feel comfortable recommending it to other parents. Well, I picked a blue lunch box for my husband because he wanted a square blue one. Whoops! This is quite glittery. He kept it, because it is functionally perfect.
