This is not your typical wimpy plastic cell phone stand. I have an oukitel wp56 rugged phone which weighs around a pound because of the huge battery this phone has. It's also about twice or more the thickness of most smart phones. You can't put this phone on just any flimsy plastic stand, it won't handle it. This stand is metal (not aluminum, it's magnetic) and folds down to a fairly flat compact unit. I use this on my computer desk to hold the phone where it's easily grabbed if it rings etc. The joints are all premium, I'm not worried about them working loose after a lot of use this should last a long time and the variety of colors this is sold in is excellent.
