This is a lovely cotton twill corset with yes - steel boning - not that cheap plastic junk. I am a big fan of steel boned corsets and own about twelve different ones I wear for various performances (I'm a musician). My criteria is they have to be comfortable when tight laced leaving a 1 to 2 inch gap in the lacing, they have to be well built as I put them though hell on stage, they have to be stylish or functional. This corset totally fits the bill. I hve a gig in New Orleans next week and the seller ( luvsecretlingerie_premier) has been super awesome and rush shipped to get the corset to me as my size (5XL for a 42-43" waist) was not on prime. Unfortunately, the corset dies not lace tight enough for my tight lacing requirements It does cinch nicely and give me a good line whilst being comfortable but it doesn't let me tight lace as tight as I like to for performance. If you are new to corsets and just want an extra firm support, go by the sizing chart they give you. If your an old are a tight lacer like me, buy one size smaller for a true tight lace fit. Because I needed this for a travel gig, I bought a second one in the 4XL in the hopes it can make it on time for my flight. I contacted the seller a second time and let them know the situation. They responded imitatively letting me know that they would express ship it the very next day to help me out. Now that is customer service. For $35, I'm keeping the one that was a little too large as well. Its a really nice cotton corset and well worth the money. I plan on using it for daily wear to give me a trimmer more hourglass shape without the tight lacing. The media could not be loaded. Perfect corset if you already have an hourglass shape. It sits extremely comfortably and can be worn for long periods. Quality thick materials and steel boning. The only thing I don't like is the laces. It's just shoes lace string and does not glide without using maximum strength. Very difficult to loosen and very difficult to tighten. Read more
Great corset! The cotton feels well against skin. At first this was for a costume - I started wearing it daily under clothes because it feels like a nice hug. Keeps my back straight and my waist looks snatched. Used to have to loosen it - now it’s completely tied close. (To be fair I’ve also lost about 10 or so pounds) Im going to order xxs and try some light tight lacing over time. Only complaint is once it got broken in - the steel bones in the front have begun to come through the stitching. Had to sew it back together. So I am a plus sized college student on a budget and I don't normally write reviews. After years of trying to find a decent corset at an affordable price, I about gave up. All I wanted was something that could cinch my waist in a way that both snatched my body and reduced my appetite so I could start working towards my desired weight loss, as well as supported my back. Then I found this and let me tell you that this corset is EVERYTHING AND A BAG OF CHIPS!!!! It was a little tough to loosen to put on at first but once I got it on, you could not get me out of this even if you begged me to! It put the appropriate amount of pressure on my stomach to reduce appetite while also holding my waist in and looking smooth under shirts. It is so unbelievably comfortable that I could sleep in it if it weren't bad for me. It also a ton of pressure off my back, and practically gets rid of my lower back pain!!! I literally exhaled a sigh of relief putting this on. My only complaint is that it jabs a little into the under-bust on my right side-boob, but nothing a little padding can't fix! Wore this to a black tie and lingerie party for NYE. At first I ordered a small based on the sizing suggestion (I have a 28" waist, 5'6'' 147lbs) but it didn't close quite as much as I wanted so I exchanged it for a medium. My only complaint is that I don't think it comes in enough at the waist, I naturally have an hourglass figure so this felt like it fit at my hips and chest nicely but didn't do much to reduce my waist. So the corset itself is amazing, material and “boning” doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy however the laces itself are cheap... they’re like really cheap shoelaces. It makes it harder to lace up and get that desired shape you’d like without feeling like you’re about to rip the laces. However fits nice, looks nice, does the job. Read more
This corset worked great all day for my renaissance outfit! The hip portion did flare out more for me that made a gap in my skirt silhouette, but I think my hips are just smaller than what the corset was contouring to. The quality is good and I liked the metal hooks in the front. The fabric on the outside was silk looking which is exactly what I was looking my for! Read more
