10 years ago, I purchased Bulbrite LED2CTC LED Chandelier Candelabra Base, Clear which were 2 Watt power consumption bulbs that put out 125 Lumens light output. Well, one burned out recently. Time marches on, engineering improvements happen. So, I ordered 6 of these LUXRITE Vintage Candelabra LED Bulb 60W Equivalent, 550 Lumens, 3000K Soft White, LED bulbs. The hue of the light is very * slightly * on the warm side of neutral white. The good: MUCH more light output. The bad: These have so much light output that you may need a dimmer if you have a fixture that uses multiple bulbs. YMMV. We have a 5 bulb "multi-pod" octopus like design light fixture in the living room that has a rotary, stepped control switch that turns extra bulb pods on as needed with each click. We figured out that what works for us was to keep 2 of the older, weaker output bulbs housed in 2 of the pods and 3 of these new LUXRITE bulbs housed in the rest. This way we can regulate output by turning on more or less overall bulbs. Were we to put all 5 of these 550 lumen bulbs in all sockets and turn them on all at once, for our living room, it would be "too-too". So, that's our particular usage story. In closing: The light is high quality and if the bulbs last 10 years, then they cost $00.50 per year. We will see. Read more
