We recently renovated our house which was supposed to take about 9 months. Well.....it actually took almost 1.5 years during which time we stored everything we didn't need in our garage and a "container". When we started unpacking our clothes (and other fabric things) they stunk - no other word for it. I washed everything on the longest cycle our machine would handle, used Tide Hygienic, Oxiclean, Clorox 2, Borax, Washing Soda, sunlight which all helped but didn't get rid of the funk. I have allergies and am very sensitive to strong smells so the Tide Hygienic and Clorox 2 almost did me in. I saw Lysol Laundry Sanitizer Free & Clear on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. IT WORKED!!! It has a slight scent but nothing remotely strong. I did about 4 extra rinses due to sensitive skin. No breakouts and the funk is gone! Read more

I used this to clean a bathroom mat that my dog peed on, and it removed ALL of the urine smell. I've also used this product on clothing to remove stubborn deodorant residue, and it worked great! No issues with harming colors or fabrics. Excellent for exercise clothing too! I appreciate that there's no added fragrance in the product itself. The bottle leaked a bit in shipment (came wrapped in plastic), but I haven't had an issue with leakage since receiving it. Be sure to inspect the bottle when it arrives, though! I use this product on all of my socks, towels, and pet blankets. I prefer the Free & Clear version as it does not leave a strong scent behind. I think it cleans well and is a good quality product. Read more
I've noticed this makes my laundry smell fresh and cleaner. It's not sticky and doesn't affect the softness or feeling of my fabric. It's a decent size for the price. I tend to put a dose or two in the wash too and I haven't run out yet. My only complain is that there was a dent in the bottle from shipping bad enough that it cause a hole in the side of the bottle that causes it to pour out the hole when I pour into the cup. I didn't notice right away and didn't use it right away, so it was outside of the return window to remedy the issue. So make sure to check your bottle for damage as soon as you get it and as for a replacement if it's damaged enough to leak. They really need to package it better. I think the warehouse people are just too rushed and don't care about certain things and just put in limited amounts of paper to buffer inside and it's just not enough to keep it from getting knocked about. I used to work at a FedEx Ground Hub and I've seen the abuse to packages that happens in those places and the amount of weight some packages get placed on top of them. It's not pretty. I switched from Lysol Crispy Liner to this Free & Clear and am very satisfied. It removes odors really well without any fragrance or bleach. Perfect for baby items and sensitive skin. Super easy to use and effective. Highly recommend! Read more
This stuff is absolutely amazing. How do I know? Well, have you ever forgotten you had a bunch of clothes in the wash only to realize like three days later? There is always an unmistakable musty smell ready to be locked in if you don’t rewash. Now don’t get me wrong, I will always rewash, but when I use this stuff, it smells only of clean laundry. I’m pretty confident I could dry the clothes without any noticeable odor. Tells me this stuff is killing everything it touches. I can’t give you any information on whether it makes your whites white or your brights bright, I’m not that kind of guy. But if it’s bacteria, you’re worried about, i’m pretty confident saying this is your stuff. Read more
