Excellent product! I purchased this shaving kit in December 2021 and have used it every day since then. Having used more than a dozen double-edge razors over the past 15 years, I can say without hesitation that this is by far the best I have found. Positives: The quality of the chrome work on this kit is the best I have seen anywhere. Nothing compares – this is simply the best. Polished perfectly. No spots or color variations. No rust or deterioration. It shines just like the day I purchased it. The stand, soap dish, razor, and brush fit together perfectly, and make an attractive, yet small addition to my bathroom counter. The shaver gives a good shave. I prefer a butterfly blade design, but this screw-post design is much easier to manage than other screw post razors I have tried, and far easier to clean – especially due to the quality of the chrome work. Of Note: The soap dish is small. The MUHLE soap cakes fill the dish almost to the top, and large soap cakes may not fit in them. Not-so-positives: The brush is small. Much smaller than I prefer. However, it has held up perfectly, and I have become comfortable with its size. The Shaver and Brush handles are smooth and become slick and hard to hold when wet and soapy. Keep a towel handy. Conclusion: Absolutely the best kit I have ever had. The matching MULE products (blades, soaps, razor bank) are all great quality and surpass anything else I have used. This is the first time I have purchased a shave kit that I truly do not want to replace. I know this won’t last forever, but when I must replace it, I will be buying MUHLE. WOW !!! I do realize every face is different and if one blade works great for one face it doesn’t mean it will work for every face, for many years I enjoy shaving with safety razors and beautiful brushes, it’s my Friday evening ritual with jazz and a cup of coffee and because of that I accumulated whole bunch of safety razors from $8 to $600 so, long story short; I finally found THE ONE for me, already shaved 10 times and not ONE DROP of blood on my towels (no exaggerations) and the cleanest closest shave I ever felt, thank you MÜHLE ! Well, all except for one thing. Where the razor hangs, which is all top quality and well built, there's the issue of the edge of your razor blade banging on the steel post beside it which dulls your blade. One slight move and the working edge of the blade hits easily. This may be an issue with all of them but if so, there's room for improvement. After being in the military and using cartridge razors and having constant pain this razor has completely gotten rid of it. It takes a bit of patience in the beginning but well worth it. Nice shave and looks great. It's more of a ritual now than a chore. I've yet to have razor burn using this product. It could be the method though. Regardless, I'm happy with my purchase. Read more
