These containers with locking lids and silicone gasket are really handy. Very glad I bought these. A year ago, I purchased a brand of glass containers that rhymes with Tie-Rex and the lids have warped and split and become useless in the sense that they are not airtight and also leak liquid if not kept absolutely upright. Fast forward to buying these awesome glass storage containers and so far they have been wonderful and a great value. My husband is now using these for taking lunches to work, and he stated that he really likes them because they can be placed in a backpack and there is no need to worry about leaking, etc. I am about to order some larger sized versions of this because I will be able to do meal prep for the week and store everything in these glass storage containers instead of the plastic stuff that I am wanting to replace for many reasons. I just like these. I much prefer glass over plastic. Old school I guess. I use these for everything. The lids have a nice tight seal which helps foods last a little longer. Everyone knows that Strawberries don't last that long. I can wash up 2 containers, cut them up and they will stay good for a week. Little longer if the fridge is run at a little colder temp. I haven't used them in the freezer since I don't freeze a lot. I have these in round, square, rectangle, and divided sizes. I still have some Tupperware type storage when I need it for larger things. I originally got two sets of these to use for meal prep, but they have worked perfectly for leftovers as well. We use them a lot for work lunches and they seem to be the perfect size. The lids seal pretty well and after several months, they still seal perfectly. The lids are of course, plastic, so not microwaveable, which is fine. The glass is pretty thick, so it does seem to take a little longer to heat food in the microwave, but I'd rather have thicker, more durable glass that takes a minute or two longer to heat than a poor quality, less durable product. I have not noticed the plastic lids holding any smell either, which it really nice. Overall, these containers are pretty versatile and have replaced most of our old plastic Tupperware. Read more
