I have tried probably 20-30 different liquid liner pens, this one is below average. The good: I like it for tightlining, between the upper lashes (not on the waterline). It is a nice deep black but not matte, I still finish it with some black eyeshadow to reduce the shine. The not-so-good: It doesn't claim to be, but it is not waterproof at all, or I'd rate it lower than I did. It also flaked a little when going over with black eyeshadow. There are tons of well known liners at half this price that are budge-proof. It doesn't draw a very good solid line, as is a common problem with these felt tip markers, they don't feel substantial and don't last very long before getting gunked up or dried out. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if you were paying like $10-12 bucks, but at this price point it is crazy. The only expensive non-waterproof eyeliner I have that I love is the Surratt one which has a beautiful refillable brush pen. There's nothing unique or high-end about this liner, you could easily get a better pen from a drugstore brand. I really try to review cosmetics based on the claims made by the brand, which is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. I don't know why you would want a high shine non-waterproof eyeliner pen. Don't use this on the waterline and if you have oily or watery eyes stay far away. The Le Metier De Beaute Precision Liquid Eyeliner really impressed me! I love the look of my eyes when I wear eyeliner, but most eyeliners I've tried don't work for me because I have hooded eyes and it always transfers. This eyeliner pen is easy to control and seems to be truly transfer proof. It dries down to a matte look, which I love. I enjoyed using this "Le Metier De Beaute Precision Liquid Eyeliner (Noir)" for lining my upper lash line. The tip is firm enough, but has just enough flexibility to apply the liner without any trouble or bother. The pigment (Noir/Black) is very deep and completely matte, which I like. I wore this for several hours while at work, and through a lot of activity (and some perspiration), this liquid eyeliner stayed on very well without any smearing or "bleeding." I also like how it did not cause me any irritation nor did it cause my sensitive eyes to water. The pen itself is comfortable to hold and seems to have plenty of wet liner, and the eyeliner pen's cap goes on and stays on securely. I enjoy the deep black matte pigment, staying power and non-irritating quality of this eyeliner as well as the excellent tip that makes application incredibly easy. Thanks for reading. Read more

I’m super picky about my black liquid eyeliners and this one not only meets but exceeds my expectations! I normally prefer brush liners, but the felt tip on this eyeliner is great and allows me to get fantastic precision just like I would with a brush tip. The formula doesn’t seem to be waterproof (I don’t think it claims to be, so that’s not a negative), and it did wash away a bit after I had some watery eyes and crying, but still held up really well against those instances. I really only had to touch up the very corners of my eyes. It washes away easily with an oil cleanser or a makeup remover. And what’s most important to me, it doesn’t smudge AT ALL. I experienced no transfer or flaking and the formula didn’t feather in my fine lines on my eyes either which is really one of the most important things I look for. I'm absolutely in love! The finely tapered felt-tip allows for incredibly precise application, making it easy to create both subtle and bold looks. The vivid black ink has a gorgeous glossy finish that really makes my eyes pop. I appreciate the long-wearing formula—it lasts all day without smudging or fading. It’s also perfect for filling in between eyelashes, giving a seamless look. At the end of the day it comes off with just a bit of micellar water for a clean removal. This eyeliner has a high end price without the end high quality. It goes on smoothly, and the pen is nice for the precise lines. You can build it to be thick or thin, which I like. It is very pigmented. However, it does not last me all day. It starts to flake, and it smudges easily. I would have expected better from an eyeliner at this price. I have tried drugstore brand eyeliner pens that last me longer than this and don't smudge. I do have hooded eyelids that get oily fairly easily, so maybe it would work better for someone who didn't, but I would not order it again. Read more

The liner is nice but there is nothing special to warrant the hefty price. It goes on smoothly, dark black with the first swipe, and the point is very fine and stiff enough that it doesn’t mess up your liner. Overall I’d use it but would not reorder due to the price being ridiculous for what it is. Read more
