My 5th review ever but these shorts deserve it bc they’re my “go to” shorts for gym. Comfy & holds shape. Quality drawstring tho it’s not necessary, elastic band fits me (30” waist) well. Length is good tho I wouldn’t want any shorter. Main pro is pockets are well thought out: •side pockets: hold form, fits hands to watch. •L side: 2nd smaller pocket (at bottom of main pocket); secures my contacts case. •R side: main pocket holds (non-Castanza) wallet well & 2nd pocket higher up holds key fob above wallet (to reduce bulk) & secures with zipper. •Back pocket (R): fits iPhone vertically (not sideways) & zipper secures it They aren’t cheap but they’re worth it. I got 2 pair… I’ll buy 4 more if/when they go on sale & give my other gym shorts to Goodwill. Read more

I LOVE these shorts! I have them in atleast 6 different colors. I have owned them for a while now. They fit perfectly, center of the thigh, they are super comfortable, the material is really soft. They dry really quickly so no need to run on full heat. I have to go to the laundry mat since I don't own a washer/dryer and I haven't had any issues with color fading or texture change. Read more

This is my review of the maamgic MENS WORKOUT SHORTS 5” SHORT SHORTS SOFT STRETCH RUNNING GYM ATHLETIC SHORTS WITH ZIP POCKETS (burgundy color). Over the past six months, I’ve purchased several maamgic athletic shorts, but this is my first purchase of this model / style. ME: I’m 5’6”, 170-175 lbs. In long pants like Levis, I wear a 32-34 inch waist with an inseam of 29-30 inches. I have a stocky, but athletic build. I’ve tried 7-inch and 9-inch shorts, but the 5-inch short is my “sweet sport”. The maamgic shorts is not a true 5-inch short. It is a little longer at 5.5 inches. At the time of this review, the maamgic size chart recommends that a customer with a 32-inch waist order a LARGE. Instead, I ordered a MEDIUM and it fits perfect on me. If you want a more relaxed fit, you can go a size up. The waist has an elastic band so it will stretch out over time and use. There are TWO zippered pockets. The one back pocket is zippered. The back pocket has good size and depth, but I never use a back pocket. The second zippered pocket is on the front right side. This zippered pocket is small. It will NOT hold most smart phones. It will hold keys and a small wallet. The is also un-zippered front right and left pockets which are as deep as possible for a 5-inch short. I would have preferred the two front pockets had zippers which would have earned it FIVE STARS from me. The material is 86% polyester and 14% spandex. It has a very soft texture like cotton. It’s not too thin or too thick. This would be very comfortable to wear in hot, humid temperature. There is NO liner so you have to wear an underwear or compression shorts. When I workout in these maamgic shorts, I wear compressions shorts which are 8-9 inches long so it will show below the maamgic shorts. This is a more athletic look. The only downside is that in hot, humid temperature, compression shorts can get a little warm and sweaty to wear. I doubt that I would buy this one again, Of the maamgic shorts that I’ve purchased, my favorite is still the maamgic MENS SWIM TRUNKS WITH COMPRESSION LINER 5” STRETCH BEACH SHORTS QUICK DRY WITH ZIPPER POCKETS NO-CHAFING BOARD SHORTS. It has been very hot in the Northeast this summer, and I've been looking for a short pair of shorts like these for a while.. These are perfect for me.. Thin, but not like cheap thin, they are good quality. They stretch when I move, and they are very comfortable and cool. I have some others that are about this length, but they are much warmer.. These are great.. I bought two colors in my first order and quickly ordered other colors. They will be great for the gym, and awesome for just being comfortable in any situation.. sure, some folks might not like the short shorts, but I love them. Read more

First the good. These shorts are incredibly comfortable and soft. The fabric is unlike any other short I’ve worn and have a feel that I can’t seem to explain. The fit is perfect and sits a couple inches above the knee, so you can wear them in public without looking like a frat bro. I bought one to try out and have since bought two more colors. I wear them daily and have done so for 2-3 months with not issues or noticeable decline in quality. I’m always looking for reasons to tell people about them. Now the only downside I’ve found, which is pretty minimal. They’re not the most breathable short, so I wouldn’t recommend them for most people as a workout short, although I do workout in them.
