The lining is thick and soft . The exterior material is durable & does not collect lint, pet fur as others have. The waist string is sturdy but can easily slip inside the waist but also easily retrievable. The ends are capped with a metal piece. These wash & dry very well- no shrinking at all. The inside fuzzy stuff is nice and thick. The outside material is made better than typical sweatpants. My husband loves them and wants a dozen more pairs.
