I am soo very happy to have found these at last!! About 4 years ago, I purchased these Madden girl sandals at DSW. I have loved them since (they are equally comfortable to the really expensive original brand, yet a little more stylish as less clunky!!) I have terrible plantar fascitis and these sandals always provided more arch support than the $375.00 customized arch supports that my podiatrist fabricated. I do own "the other brand" as well, yet I prefer these. I never thought that I would see them again!!! If you are on the cusp of sizes, I would go up half a size so that your toes do not rub against the front lip of shoe. Since the straps are buckled , you can make them fit perfectly!! These are so worth the money!! The black pair I bought 4 years ago, have been worn almost every day, even in winter, as I cannot go barefoot on hardwood floors in my home. First of all, these are the best shoes I’ve ever bought. I’ve only had them a few days so I hope I’m not speaking too soon, but they appear to be perfect. I bought them specifically because I needed a sandal that was versatile enough to dress up or down and which also offered relief from the bunion I have on one foot. So WHY are these sandals perfect?? Because for years I’ve suffered constant and searing pain and have never found any relief, until now. Literally as soon as I put them on, the pain stopped. It just STOPPED. All of a sudden I felt like I was standing evenly (probably because I was no longer needing to shift my weight onto the good foot.) Everything feels better now. It’s not a cure all, but my god, it makes one hell of a difference. I have more energy now that I’m not in constant pain. I plan on getting more pairs of these because so far, I’m beyond impressed. They feel so quality and they fit PERFECTLY!! I’m normally between a 7.5 and an 8. They only had a 7.5 available so I took the risk and purchased them. I’m so glad I didn’t get the 8 because I honestly feel like 7.5 was made for my feet. ALSO, these shoes are so cute. They look so good with everything. Get these shoes. You will not regret it. Oh and here’s the extra bonus: they cover the bunion. It helps the pain and covers the insecurity. What more could you ask for??! 10 out of 10. Also I love that the straps are adjustable. I was worried at first that they might be too tight (even on the loosest setting) but after like an hour of wearing them they already started to soften and stretch out just enough to feel magical.
