These are well made pillow covers. My pillows were "overstuffed" and soft. Being "fat", they were a little difficult to get into these covers, but once inside, they look great. I wouldn't describe the fabric as soft, but perhaps the tautness of the stuffing makes them more firm. They look nice against my navy with pink and rose flowered bedspread.
